Came back, and this time with work friends! We all had fantastic meals. The ahi was as fresh as ever (how do you get such good fish this far away from the ocean?!), though still pricey. However, portions are big, and the scene is fantastic. Quieter than most restaurants, so there's a nice upscale vibe and yet you still get a good bang for your buck. Salads in particular take the crown here, as greens are always fresh and flavored with some creative dressings like ginger vinegar soy. Would I come often? Probably not, given the price, but an excellent place to meet up with a client or on a date.

The place seems like a good spot to hang out, if your in your 20's. Its a bit small, and was packed with people waiting in line. I was worried I would have to wait, but there was a singe chair at the bar, and I was alone on business. I ordered a Tecate, the steak tacos, with a side of corn and the mac & cheese. The services was spot on, but then again I was sitting at the bar 4' from my server the bar tender so I was hard to avoid. The food, was great. I loved the spicy (but not too spicy) southwest taste of the corn. The Mac & Cheese was comforting, not the best, but defiantly worth a try. The tacos were tasty, they had a bit of a zesty sour cream of some sort, and the steak was cooked and seasoned properly. If i'm ever back in town I will be sure to stop in here again.

I travel to El Paso for work a lot and I use yelp to find stuff. I've noticed a lot of the food reviews include something to the effect of "pretty good for el paso" I thought this place was pretty good for anywhere. I live in uber-hip-food Austin and Crave would make it here and probably be popular. I had the seared tuna sandwich and the famous green chile mac n cheese. fantastic. I'm going to make this a regular stop on my El Paso trips.

Driving cross country I planned my eating experiences around high rated restaurants on yelp... This place stood up to its rating in taste. I had the house salad with salmon and the raspberry basalmic, a side of grilled asparagus and the "pot" brownie. The asparagus was tasty but far overpriced for seven slim pieces. The brownie was good too, but again overpriced for a brownie a la mode.... Served in a tin pot. The salad was excellent, piled high with crisp fresh greens. The salmon was only about 3 oz but was cooked perfect. I would rate this place higher if not for the prices. Also, the seating is very limited and a little too close for comfort. I felt especially uncomfortable when an older man was seated next to me and I felt like he was staring at my son and I the entire time... Creepy.

I'll join the chorus of people singing the praises of Crave. Burgers are out of sight; brunch options are tasty and unusual (chorizo pancakes??). It's a tiny place and often packed, but it's definitely worth the wait.

This is where I take people for a proper breakfast. Even though they recently increased prices its still reasonable for the unique breakfast creations they have. I cannot comment on their lunch menu though so please only take this review in consideration for breakfast.

This is a very small place, with table seating a bit claustrophobic, but the small bar is great, with nice padded chairs and friendly service. As everyone says, beware the mirrors at both ends of the entryway, you will want to walk into them even when you know about them. Very nice beer and wine selection, including Guinness draught. I had the ribeye, which had a fair amount of gristle, but that's pretty normal for ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Georgia had the turkey and white bean chili, which had a nice spicy burn to it and a great taste. We tried a variety of sides: the brussels sprouts were very good, cut in half and charred to give them a hint of burned flavor; sweet potato waffle fries, how can you go wrong; grilled asparagus, done right. And these interesting and very tasty cold beets that were chopped with some cheese and sauce. They were very friendly and accommodating to our special requests. The prices are not low but not outrageous for the quality and style. I will definitely return.

Went here the other day with two others for lunch. I ordered the seared ahi tuna sandwich with a side of the green chile mac and cheese. The seared ahi tuna sandwich was decent and the pineapple was a great addition, but the sandwich itself was very dry. There wasn't enough wasabi mayo on it and the bread was too thick. I asked a passing waiter for a side of mayo (to make it edible), he said ok, but never came back with it. Keep in mind the tiny size of this place; we awkwardly made eye contact several times afterward, and I never got my extra mayo. The cucumber-mint agua fresca is a grossly overpriced drink, you're better off getting normal water or the ginger lemonade, which is pretty good. The green chile mac and cheese has a great flavor with a perfect amount of heat, definitely the best part of my experience. Still not worth the trip though, you're better off going next door to Geo Geske's if you want delicious mac and cheese. Overall, bad service and severely overrated food. The precious hipster decor seems to lure in far too many people.

What a pleasant surprise. The 808 Burger ($12) here is pretty delicious. It's a half-pound patty with roasted hatch chiles, grilled pineapple, mango mayo, and asadero cheese. Don't worry -- it's not spicy (these are pretty mild hatch chiles that have been roasted), it's not too sweet (despite the presence of both pineapple and mango) ... it just comes together really, really well. Your burgers come with a choice of side (as do the sandwiches; main courses come with a choice of two sides), and I went with the Borunda corn cup. I'm usually a fan of elote and esquite, but the stuff here was just a little too heavy for me. I could barely taste the corn, absolutely swimming in a red, mildly spicy, but quite vinegary, soup. I'd recommend the green chile mac and cheese, of all things, as a lighter and more palatable option. (Recommending the mac and cheese as a lighter option? I never thought I'd see the day.) I had a taste of the stuff, and even though mac and cheese is a bit overdone these days, it was excellent. The restaurant space itself is fairly nice, albeit a bit cramped. They try to open up the space with mirrors on the wall, but there's no escaping the fact that seating is quite limited. There's also patio seating, but for much of that day, that's not exactly pleasant. Still, Crave is a great stop for brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks.

Yet another failed attempt at a "trendy" joint. We tried going to the location on the Eastside but when we go to a restaurant we don't expect to have to yell over the quite annoying House/Techno music playing in the background. Needless to say we promptly left. Decided to try one more time at the Westside location. The music wasn't as loud so it was on to step two. Step two consisted of having to wait a while for a seat. We ended up just sitting outside. Step three was having to endure the manic-depressive server we had which was a lot of fun (sarcasm). Step four our food finally came out. What else is there to say other then it was a wonderfully failed attempt at anything decent to eat. So here's a tip: Flavors should complement each other not over power. The fries should not make one pucker with disgust. Not quite sure why Crave has such a high rating but perhaps most just don't know any better. Crave, you get two stars and that's only because we feel like being generous.

I came here for dinner and I left feeling like I had eaten a pretty satisfying meal and that there were plenty of things on the menu that I would like to try. First, I would recommend you try their coconut tea. It was a very refreshing drink. I ended up getting their baby spinach salad with salmon. The salad had strawberries, pecans and bacon. I elected to add salmon to it and I chose the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It was a good salad. The dressing was good and the bacon and strawberry were a nice flavor combo. I had two small criticisms. First, the salmon portion was not very large. Second, the salad was almost $15. That's a tad on the steep side for salad. I'm not paying for meals as I am in El Paso for work, but still. There are several other good looking burgers and sandwiches I would like to try.

chicken pesto sandwich was ehh. chicken was juicy but no flavor. i couldn't even tell it was a chicken pesto sandwich. the fries were okay. didn't like the seasoning that much, to much lemon and salt for my taste. maybe i should try something else since the reviews about this place is great.

The burger definitely met expectations, but the sides, French fries and Mac and cheese, we're not good. Beer selection was fine. Service was overwhelmed and cleanliness/upkeep were neglected.

This is my favorite restaurant by far!! Except the one time I had to return my blue cheese burger because the sauce was different. An the server instead of telling me why it was different he told me that's how they made it all the time. Which was a mistake because this is the only thing I order at this place since I first tried it. So the cook came and apologize explaining me they had ruined the sauce

Whenever someone comes to visit us in El Paso or is new to the area, Crave is the first place I recommend. Crave was recently rated "Best Sure-Bet for Good Food (every time)", "Best Breakfast", "Best Burger", "Best Catering" AND "Best Service" in El Paso's 2012 Best of the Best competition, and for good reason! Crave serves up traditional comfort food with a modern twist and an "El Paso" flair and they do it very well. They have taken diner staples like french toast, burgers, and macaroni and cheese and turned out enticing varieties like Cajeta Stuffed French Toast, the Whole Hog Burger with bacon, ham, chorizo, asadero and guacamole, and their keeps-you-coming-back-for-more Green Chili Mac and Cheese. The atmosphere is upbeat, quirky and welcoming but count on a crowd and possibly a lengthy wait. I typically go for brunch on the weekend (take advantage of their $1 mimosas after noon on Sunday!), but they offer a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu all week as well. Although I noticed in my last few visits that the typically sharp, friendly and reliable service and consistently well prepared food has wavered slightly (my macaroni was runny, server was curt...), I have confidence that Crave will continue to be a go-to El Paso eatery for many years to come. The West Side location is a bit cramped with limited seating, and if you go on for weekend brunch you are guaranteed a 20-40 minute wait, but be patient, it's worth it. The smaller the group the quicker the seating, so take your best friend, skip the line, and snag two seats at the bar. The East Side location is larger and has a full bar. I highly recommend starting your meal off with the Tuna Ceviche, you'll wish you had two orders. Their burgers are arguably the best in the city, so try the Chile Bomber or Black and Blue Burger with a side of their killer Green Chili Mac or Sweet Potato Fries with Marshmallow Dipping Sauce. If by then you manage to still have an appetite, finish it off with the too-good Barely Baked Cookie, voted El Paso's best desert. Leave a comment and let us know what YOU think of Crave!

After wanting to try Crave for more than a year now, I finally decided to go and was pleasantly surprised to get a table outside. Generally my attempts have failed because Crave is considered a top dining destination and I have, on several occasions, left because of a long wait list. Needless to say, my determination paid off ten fold. The turkey sandwich served on ciabatta bread with bacon, garlic mayo, spring greens and cranberry chutney was an explosion of perfection on my palette. I also chose the green chile Mac and cheese and was completely satisfied by the smooth creamy texture with the perfect hint of green chile. It was, by far, the best Mac and cheese ive ever tasted. My table mate ordered the Whole Hog burger, which is, in all reality, a heart attack waiting to happen. But... Better to be happy right before you die, right? This burger delivers: 1/2 lb angus with ham, bacon, asadero cheese, guacamole and chorizo. The combination of all the ingredients was delightful and so worth it. Our server was the perfect mix of attentive and solicitous; he answered all of our questions and gave us his favorites from each category of the menu. He was honest and sincere and truly a pleasure to have serving us. Although we didn't have any alcoholic beverages, the wine and beer list were extensive and they will even sell closed bottles for take-away at half the listed price. All-In- all, we had a great dining experience and will definitely return more frequently.

loved the ribeye tacos. I had the chile sauce on the side and took the picked jalapenos off (I dont like really spicey food) and it was delicious. I ordered medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The green chili mac and cheese was too spicy for me but the coconut iced tea was awesome. A nice little gem in El Paso.

This place really did not live up to all the hype I was hearing from my friends and others. Frist Time I went the place was so full that setting would take up to 30 minutes. So we left. The second time we made a reservation, but we still had to wait because they said that they would not be sited until our whole party was there, even though our table was ready. They did even have a bar for people to sit, so we waited drinking our beers at the entrance. Then we were finally sited. The menu was pretty cute being on the wall and all, but a lot of their culinary terminology was totally used incorrectly. So I ended up getting the Turkey sandwich with a cranberry chutney sauce. I actually came to try the chicken and waffles, but me being a southern girl, and knowing you can buy this at any restaurant for so much cheaper, I just said no. Then I decided on Green Chili Mac and Chees because I am so over sweet potatoes fries. Yet, another favorite staple there by the customers. Like I always like to say, if you want to know what was popular 10 years ago come to El Paso. I also ordered the cucumber salsa as an appetizer for the table. It sounded interesting and new, but later I would be very disappointed. Then we had to wait forever for our food and drinks. It was as if they had forgotten we were there. I know that a restaurant gets busy, but I should have been able to get my drinks and appetizer in a timely manner or at least a reason why not. When we did finally get our food, I was not impressed. The cucumber salsa was good, but he tasted like it was prefabbed cucumbers with soy sauce. Then there was my sandwich, it was a great portion for my buck, but the chutney just seemed like it was really finely diced dried cranberries and that was it. I make this sandwich every year after Thanksgiving for my family. Finally the Green Chili Mac and Chees, it was good and I can see why everybody likes it, but it tasted like Chili Con Queso on macaroni noodles. Needless to say I was not impressed at all and I have not gone back since. Don't waste your time or money at this place, unless you are one of those people who like to barge to friends that you go to an up and coming local restaurant. Then this is the place for you.

A step in the right direction for El Paso, but the menu lacks cohesion and is uninspired. The place would benefit from a nightly special and a manager to take charge and to give direction to all the (nice) college kids employed.

I've been to Crave twice in the past two weeks. The first time I went, I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, my friend ordered the Crave burger. We enjoyed the lunch atmosphere and agreed that our food was pretty delicious. The green chile mac and cheese is to die for. So are the sweet potato fries. We left satisfied, opting not to have dessert. I was so impressed by my first visit, when a visiting family member wanted to try something new, I suggested Crave. I ordered the Salmon this time with the same sides as last time. My mother ordered the outrageously priced $25 tacos (they were good, and the portions of the side items were enough to maybe warrant the price). This is where all the sunny sunshine stops and everything went downhill. My uncle ordered the beef tenderloin cooked medium-well. We all ordered the green chile mac and cheese and were completely satisfied, to the point where my mom kept begging us not to finish it off so she could take it home. The food came out, the beef tenderloin was huge, which was a bad sign. It probably wasn't cooked the way it needed to be. Sure enough, my uncle cut into it and it looked like a scene from a Quentin Tarantino movie, blood spilling everywhere, nowhere near medium RARE (not medium well like he ordered) The waitress was apologetic, took it back to the kitchen and offered a free dessert to compensate for the mistake. I cut into my salmon, thinking that cooking a fish can't be too hard. Boy was I wrong, as I got to the meater part of the fish, I had raw sashimi. It was cold and pretty unappetizing. The sauce was great, but I had to work around the sashimi portion. I was sort of bummed. Imagine my disappointment when they bring my uncles beef tenderloin back out and not only is it significantly smaller, but charred on the outside and STILL barely crossing the Medium borderline. Whatever, we decided not to dwell on the negative and hope for a positive dessert experience. My mom and I ordered the "pot" brownie and my uncle ordered the apple crisp bread pudding. I thought the brownie was tasty, and my mom kept saying it was burnt. I finally got to the bottom of the brownie and realized that it was burnt. I turned it over and the entire bottom was BLACK. I mean CHARRED. My uncle ate his bread pudding until he suddenly stopped and pushed it away. He said it had been microwaved. It was warm on the outside, but as soon as he got into the middle it was cold, sort of like my salmon. We all were pretty bummed, except for my mom who loved her sangria, tacos, and sides. For the check that we received and paid, it would be nice if they took the chef to cooking school, so that he can learn to properly cook a steak and salmon. Will I return to crave? Maybe. I haven't decided. My first experience was a pretty great experience, my second was a disaster minus the saving grace of the green chile mac and cheese. So I'm in the middle. If I do go back it will be during the day when the cook didn't undercook and microwave things.

Visting El Paso, decided to grab some b-fast here. It was pretty packed ...which could mean good or bad! Our service was alright the waitress could have been a little more attentive. We enjoyed their outdoor sitting, awesome decor. I had the nutela waffles, they were alright but I guess they have sugar free syrup..not really my thing? My friend had the steak burrito which was also kinda plain. It looked like a cool place to hit up in the evening time for some drinks though. Would go back to check it out again

Great menu, not ur ordinary restaurant. Kind of like a upper middle class of hangout joint, with their versions of foods we know. We were in town for an appointment, and this place we found after a quick internet check. We had the Bruschetta to start with. Kind of funky, as they used half tomatoes on the toast instead of diced. While not bad, I just didnt like the chunks. I had their burger, but was not thrilled with the way the onions came out (not crunchy but not completly sauteed). My wife had a salad. Our baby girl ate anything she could get her hands in and on. Was a little busy when we got there, was close to 12. As its close to NMSU, had a decent mix of patrons, from the school and from the area. We ended up eating outside (they have a few tables with umbrellas out front). Nice place, and look forward to coming back to trying a few other things on the menu.

I went on Sunday with a friend from out of town and some High School friends... We did wait about 30 minutes to get seated after I showed up (and I showed up 15 minutes late). The place was extremely packed, and since 3 of us are claustrophobic, we ended up eating outside. Once we sat it was a nice enough setting that we chilled for 2 hours and had people glaring at us to move on so that THEY could get their food. The first thing we ordered were the drinks. D said that her hot tea was excellent. It had a bag that is not commonly seen in EP restaurants. A and I ordered a mint-cucumber agua fresca. It sounded better than it was only because it needed sugar. Once we added some sweetness to it, it became a refreshing, addictive drink. We ordered appetizers (it's not a meal without that, right?). The lime-soy salsa was raved about by everyone at the table. The vegetables were still crunchy and marinated in a lime and soy sauce. The other appetizer we got was Artichoke Spinach Dip....This was good, but the one at Ripe far surpasses it. For the main event, I had the Egg Sammy. The ciabatta role was nicely toasted (not to crispy, and not soggy from the egg and veggies). The eggs were cooked well and not runny. The goat cheese spread was good, but I did think it was a bit salty. Overall, it was a well composed sandwich. The green chili mac and cheese was decent, very cheesy, but not spicy enough for me. I also ordered Margarita fries, which I enjoyed more. Sweet and salty, they were hard to put down. I almost reached across the table to grab one of my friends Sweet Potato Fries, but decided I'd like to keep my fingers attached to my hand. Overall, I would say this place is good...not the best place in EP, but I would go back. I'm giving 4 stars for now, but based on the other food I get in the future, it may go up or down.

OMG the chicken pesto sandwich is AMAZING especially along with the green chile mac n' cheese !!!! just wish the service was a little more attentive, we sat outside, and our waitress basically ignored us the whole night, only coming to re-fill our water and sodas ONCE. Maybe because its a kind-of classy place, and we were dressed casual. And it took us almost an hour to get our food. MAKE RESERVATIONS!!!!!!! the crave on cincinnati only has 3 small tables inside, and 1 large "community table" (where you end up sitting directly next to complete strangers while you eat and its very cramped) and since its located on a hill, if you sit outside (like we did) your table is slanted, and its not to easy to keep your cups from sliding off. FOOD: 10 out of 10 SERVICE: 4 out of 10 extra advice******, for more room, more tables, and better service, go to the location off of Lee Trevino.

Went to enjoy a good breakfast with my wife. Ending up eating at village inn. We arrived at 10 am and our food was not brought to us until 1044am. It was cold and the manager told us that they were having problems in the kitchen. Now I have think about taking clients there.

Yummy in my tummy!!!! Small place but good service and excellent mahi mahi and beets. On the pricier side but worth it. Reminds me a bit of Los Angeles. Yes, it's younger / college crowd but who cares when it's so good?

I go here in the morning for breakfast with my co-workers after working the night shift. The food is good, I tend to order the pancakes. Have tasted almost everything else on the breakfast menu. The mimosas are good, although they don't have a full bar. It's tiny so it can get full quickly. Parking can also be interesting. Overall, we keep coming back for a reason.

I really don't think that Crave can do any wrong. Three of us came in here for lunch one Saturday afternoon and were treated to great service and even better food. That day I split the sashimi style Tuna Ceviche. Perfection! So good that I could have eaten the whole plate on my own. I also asked for a cup of the Tomato Basil soup. This one was more sweet than what I'm used to, but the basil pesto that came fancifully drizzled on top was a nice touch. As were the herbed goat cheese crostini that came on the side, awesome little savory dippers they were! Thankfully, my prima and I decided to split the BLTA, a BLT with avacado, because at that point I was feeling pretty full! The Sandwich is huge, the bacon tasty as ever, and the avacado a nice addition to a traditional fave! Breakfast and lunch have come through with shining colors here. It's soooo good, I'd like to pack it up and move it to Austin!

This place is very cute and hip - it has a sort of L.A. vibe to it. There were four of us here for a late lunch and the place was manage-ably busy but we had no problem getting a table. Our service was friendly and the atmosphere very cool. I was afflicted with a rare "I'm not very hungry" moment so I opted only for a side of the Green Pepper Macaroni and Cheese." It was a pretty small bowl but it was very rich and satisfying. I'm not a fan of spicy foods but it had just enough kick to make it interesting without putting me off. Everyone else really enjoyed their food - I would definitely like to go back here and try more if/when I'm in EP next time!

For breakfast I give it 4 stars, lunch gets 2 so I met in the middle with a 3. The burgers are just OK, nothing great. The sweet potato fries are thin and dry and full of salt. The salads are fantastic. The raspberry chipotle wings are pretty good. My advice, go for breakfast and get a breakfast sandwich or the breakfast burrito. I've heard the desserts are pretty good but have not tried them yet.

The beer selection is pretty extensive, but not priced well. Some beers are wayyy too expensive and some are pretty cheap..its a boon for those of us who know beer. The food is very contemporary and the atmosphere matches. But like most newer establishments, they decorate like they never have to clean it. Seriously, any wine glass above reach behind the bar is covered in dust. The beer tap handles are gross. Add to that the jackass sitting next to us with his pretentious wine-snobbery with his Benz keys so prominently displayed on the bar, it was enough to make me want to roll my eyes and hiss...oh wait, I did. And for the record he drove a C-class...the Honda of Mercedes. Either way, if you can get past the pretentiousness of the typical clientele you will have a decent time. Granted you get a seat promptly. And your wait-person didn't get a new piercing recently and/or didn't feel the need to discuss it at length with cow-orkers. If that seems overwhelming, just skip over to Toro Burger and you will be much happier. yelp.com/biz/toro-burger…

While on our way back from Marfa, TX, we spent a night in El Paso. Hungry for a good meal, our hotel recommended Crave. It didn't disappoint. They had so many mouth-watering options it was hard to choose but we're just the sort of type who can't refuse a burger when it's on the menu. It was fantastic. Thick and full of flavor on a delicious bun. Not hard to eat and just messy enough. The fries were thin and crispy. We wanted a side of mayo but they could only supply garlic aioli. Poor us. Nice staff, too. It was a Sunday night and they were closing at 6p (what?) but they treated us well even though we kept them there late. Oh and PS - we swung by for the egg sammy in the morning before a quick trip to Saddleblanket. OMG - if we lived in El Paso, we'd eat here at least once a week. Maybe sometimes twice a day.

I visited Crave for dinner on a weeknight. So, I was visiting family in El Paso and had plans to meet friends for dinner. I am rarely in El Paso, and when I go there I feel like I eat at the SAME PLACES every single time- Taco Tote, Taco Cabana, Ardovino's, Leo's, etc. Nothing wrong with any of those places (quite the contrary), but I was wanting something new and different. Yelp to the rescue! We started off with the spinach and artichoke dip. It was tasty enough and came with a good portion of chips to dip in. The dip had a little bit of a kick. My only beef with it was that I suspected that not all of the cheese in it was real. It was a little on the shiny and liquid-y side for it to be 100% real... Or maybe I'm just suspicious. I had the grilled portobello sandwich and green chile mac and cheese for my entree. The sandwich was very, very good. It was large and the porto was grilled to perfection. The Swiss cheese and paprika aioli were perfect toppings. I had to cut the sandwich in half, it was so large! Definitely a good thing! I liked that it wasn't horrendously juicy or dribbly. I hate to make a mess eating portos. I'll admit that the main reason I wanted to eat here was because of the rave reviews for the green chile mac and cheese. Perhaps I built it up too much, but it was a tad salty for my liking and again, I was suspicious of the realness of the cheese. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the mac and cheese, but I think I was expecting too much. I still give it a B+ for over all and A+ for effort! A dining companion ordered the buttermilk fried chicken and waffles. I don't eat chicken, but the waffles were really good and so were the sweet potato fries. Crave is very yummy, has cool decor, and has interesting beverages. I will visit it again when I am back in EPT. Deliciousness!

I wanted to like Crave, I really did. I swung by for breakfast this time, not content that I would actually get a seat for dinner. The service seemed a little spooky, like the servers are a little meek and frightened. It's not exactly friendly or accomodating. Tried the coffee, which was absolutely nothing special. Tasted like it came from Dennys. Why is it hard to get good quality coffee if the place is trying to be slightly fancy? The chorizo scramble was just OK and could have stood far more bolder touches. The asadero cheese melted correctly, but the eggs could have been a little better seasoned. I'm guessing the chorizo wasn't the best quality. It's not that it was greasy, which many chorizos are, but there was little texture. The scramble is also served improperly. It sits on a flat flour tortilla, decent quality, but by the time you decide to roll it, the tortilla gets cold and dry. The worst offender was the short stack of pancakes, a steal at $2. They were dry and dense. They lacked any softness or fluffiness, to say nothing of the fact that the weak maple syrup absorbed it too much. It just didn't work, which now makes mer wary of those who order the other pancake dishes. This place needs a new fresh vibe --it's dark and unfriendly almost--even if it is 8 in the morning,

The only thing that kicked me while I ate mac & cheese growing up was my brother. That is until today. After perusing the reviews for Crave I came to the conclusion that the green chili mac & cheese would be mine. My first bite was like a kick in the mouth. It was so creamy and yet so spicy. And I liked it! I paired the noodles with an Ahi tuna sandwich and pomegranate margarita. The sandwich had a bunch of flavors and was generally really good, with the occasional nose dive into a huge chunk of salt. The salt complemented my margarita, so there aren't many complaints from me. I will totally revisit Crave again. I just hope I can sit outside; the inside is seriously cramped and you are at high risk of having random butts rubbed against you as people wind their way into their seats. After a couple of margaritas though and you may not care.

Really Really good food! I have only been here for breakfast but it is a must go to place in El Paso. Very small but good service and again the food is excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone in or going to the El Paso area.

Yummy! Okay, well actually I've never eaten at the restaurant but, I've ordered take out a couple times. So I don't know what the restaurant ambience is like, other than crowded, from what i can tell on the outside which is a good sign, right? So the Chili Bomber Burger with veggie patty, is so delicious! The burger is topped with a habanero infused mayo and green chilies, and is served with a pickled hot pepper, which by the way, the burger cannot be without! I've had quite of bit veggie burgers in my day and have never had one as good as this. Of course, it can be ordered with a regular beef patty, for you non-veggies out there. I love the fries too! The fries from this place are addicting, tossed with a lime flavored salt. Try it! Will have to go back soon.

A unique restaurant with terrific food. In you are a "breakfast lover", Crave will be your "JOY". Excellent inventive choices, unusual delicious servings and wonderful presentations. The downside is no reservations and the waiting can be very, very long. However, if you have the time, Crave is worth the wait. We go there every time we visit El Paso.

The best breakfast I've had in a very long time. The egg Sammy was delicious and the pepper bacon was awesome. Thanks!

Biscuits and green chile gravy. Awesome. Two visits, ordered it both times. Comes with two eggs and two massive sausage patties to boot. Peeped the chicken fried steak at the table next to me with the same green chile gravy... looked awesome. Every portion is huge and pretty cheap.

Tried the tuna 'ceviche', which is actually tuna slices with bits of onion/tomato mix on top, so not dripping in typical ceviche lemon/lime juice, and not served with crackers or bread, but good. Just don't order it for a meal, because you'll be hungry. The sauce that come with it is really delicious, so I scooped out the bits of stuff from the bottom of the sauce cup (since it looked to be 90% oil) and put it on top of the onions. My only qualm is it was oversalted with black salt. I'd give it 4 stars, but 1 more for a cool vibe, and overall uniqueness.

Great little breakfast and lunch spot, however breakfast's only till 10:30. bacon wrapped shrimp is awesome. veggie burger is also amazing. often they're out of items which means it's probably always fresh, a big plus. From what I could find this is one of only a few El Paso gems, so enjoy it!

"I would never have thought this would be in El Paso." Killer burger with a hearty dark sauce, cheddar and grilled onions. Kids devoured the giant pancakes. Try the pesto mayo says the wife Service was fast and I was pleased with my fresh tuna ceviche, topped with a light pico. Only a handful of tables so get a jump start on brunch. Also, the dozens of ales and lagers to pick from doesn't suck.

Others have said it, but let me croak my agreement: "Green chile mac and cheese"! Been twice enjoyed Crave both times. Oddly though, a lot of El Pasoans seem perturbed by being asked to wait 15 or 20 minutes for a table. Come on folks, it's a small place. Back in San Francisco (my home for 13 years...at least until recently), 15 or 20 minutes is the normal wait even when you have a reservation! :-)

Oh my goodness as a local I loooove this place! Definitely try their steak taco dishes with the cream, they are awesome! The dish comes with 2 sides. It's $28 which is still a little expensive for my taste though. Definitely also try their 808 burgers and the green chile mac n cheese too! The waiters are always friendly and have always made great recommendations. It's a small place so be sure to go before their lunch/dinner rushes. As for breakfast, I've only been there once but the food is also great! Definitely stop by whenever you're in EP

El Paso's best attempt at "hip" upscale casual American dinning. Over-priced for what it is but worth a visit for your hipster-esque mimosa drowned sunday brunch. Products are quality, staff is educated and friendly, chalk board menu makes you feel good inside, coffee and salsa should be better, best chicken n' waffles in town(if your into that sorta thing), burgers are good, green chile mac n cheese is better.

Great Restaurant!!! The food is incredible and I cant believe how awesome the chef makes his ingredient combinations. You can always tell that you are eating with a talented chef when he knows exactly what to combine to make that perfect dish. I wish I could eat here everyday. The only downfall is that the restaurant is tiny and sometimes the atmosphere among the patrons is very snobby. The staff is always gracious and very dedicated to their craft, but the people who eat here think they are eating at the French Laundry. You know a restaurant is great when the only thing you can complain about is that the people that eat there are TOO cool and trendy. I am old.

Take heart you out of town, yuppy, business travelers from the big cities back east. You don't have limit yourselves to a gigantic steaks or mammoth BBQ ribs while in passing through "The Pass". Yes, you can find a hipster drinking and dining experience right up your alley in El Paso at the Crave Kitchen and Bar. Microbrews, good burgers and lots of non-southwest type atmosphere. You won't see any cowboy hats here. Friendly service and a pleasant wine-bar feel will make you forget your in El Paso. They have 85 bottles of wine on the wall, so plenty of choices, and if you are in the mood you can try the Waffles and Chicken to sopp up the booze before staggering back to your rental car.

Try the chicken and waffles. It comes with 2 large sides. This is more than enough to share between two people. Don't forget the beer. It's a nice compliment to the meal!

i finally had the chance to eat dinner at crave and i was thoroughly pleased with my meal. after hearing mixed reviews and one horror story of undercooked chicken wings, i can say that (as long as you keep your order safe) crave is a solid place - and i've heard breakfast is the way to go. i had the chicken and waffles. it's enough food for two people - TWO perfectly fried chicken breasts piled on a belgian style waffle. even though the waffle was a bit on the soggy side to begin with, the meal all together was fantastic. on top of all of that food, it included two sides: i decided to go with the green chile mac & cheese (INCREDIBLE!) and grilled asparagus. needless to say i took half home for the next day (chicken & eggs in the morning...). my mom got the salmon, which was nothing special - i have to say. basically it tasted like a naked salmon filet with bbq sauce poured on top of it. i thought this was pretty lame. i cook salmon all of the time and have in the past, and this just seemed like a very lazy way to prepare a type of fish that you don't particularly want to overpower it's flavor with a load of bbq sauce. i think they should rethink that dish a bit. but you can go back to my previous review: they got Quilmes, great wine selection, great scenery all of the time... the wait wasn't but a beer's worth - so can't complain about that. overall a 4 star experience for me. my mom would probably go with a 3.5 but i can't speak for her. i'll be back - probably gonna try breakfast next time. with a Quilmes...

The first thing you notice when you arrive on a late Sunday morning is the crowd. Lots of young trendy El Paso residents. Some looked like they just woke up from a night out at the bars just down a block on Cincinnati street the night before. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and asked about our seating preference. We did wait a while to be seated, but it was obvious that it was due to the high number of people. We were approached multiple times by the staff to inform us on our status and they were very friendly, which made the wait bearable. The menu choices ranged from your typical breakfast fare to hamburgers and sandwiches. Since it was now past noon we decided on lunch although the breakfast dishes looked delicious as they passed by. It was evident that the crowd was here for mostly the breakfast. We started with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip and soft drinks. The dip was fairly standard with a spicy kick which made it above average, while the chips were nothing special. For the entree I had the Sweet & Smokey Rub Burger. It was simple: Well cooked Angus beef on a soft roll with a sweet melted Brie topping. The combination was amazing! A well done creamy burger with a slightly sweet hint. One if the best burgers I have had in both the combination of ingredients and the meat itself. Plus: The food was amazing and the prices are reasonable for the quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Minus: The Sunday morning crowd. Our total meal time from arrival to check was almost two hours, however the quality of food was worth it. I would go again, and this time try the delicious looking breakfast!

First of all I wasn't crazy about the location... It's not a very nice area so a place like this (hip, fun little joint) just seems like it should be closer to the mall or something. We went for breakfast and I got the eggs blackstone, sort of like eggs benedict but with black forrest ham and the hollandaise sauce had some spice in it, my husband got the whole hog scramble which had sausage, ham, chorizo and bacon I believe. They were both very delicious but I have to say my FAVORITE part of my whole meal... their BACON. I don't know how they prepare it (smoked?) but it was yummy. I'd like to visit again, but maybe for lunch or dinner.

The food at Crave was amazing! It's a cute, and unique place. Crave incorporates the local hatch green chili into some of its recipes. Crave also puts their own twists on common dishes. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because it's a small place. If it gets packed, you will be eating shoulder to shoulder with other people.

Went to this little place a couple of days ago with a bunch of coworkers. A pretty small place dishing out some pretty good food with a cool staff serving you. Great selection of beers. Had their basic burger and grilled asparagus. The burger was very good and juicy, but the asparagus still had the "woody" ends. I also had the deep fried, panko coated ribs. Tasty, but I wasn't expecting the coconut in the breading. It was good, but a little sweet for me. Overall a very good place!

The cucumber and mint aqua fresca was just water with cucumbers in it. My dentist office in Austin used to serve that 5 years ago for FREE. Fail. The tuna sashimi was room temp. Sauce was good though. The mushroom in the portabello burger was WAY over marinated, it was like sucking on a vinegar sponge. Mac and cheese was just like the stuff our of a Kraft box. Way over rated and WAY over priced.

Three words: Bacon. Waffle. Sandwich. When I saw this little beauty listed, I thought, "Hey, if they're gonna make it, I should eat it." I was not disappointed. Fantastic waffle with bacon in the batter, made sandwich style with scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese, all covered in syrup. I am not a huge sausage fan, so I took those off and only had a bite or two of it. However, the rest was amazingly good. Topped with a fun atmosphere, very nice and personable wait staff, and probably the most comfortable bar-stools I've ever parked on...it was a lovely breakfast. Definitely worth skipping the hotel continental and finding this place.

I liked this place. They have a really nice, new school feel to their decor and the food is pretty damn good. We had the ahi tuna sandwich with sauteed spinach; this was pretty good where the tuna was seared nicely and the spinach had a nice lemon tart taste to it. Also had the mahi-mahi po boy with the frites. The fish was cooked perfectly but be warned that it can get messy to eat...i mean its a po' boy for crying out loud. the frites had a nice cajun seasoning to them and accompanied the sandwich well. had a pint of guiness and a glass of a recommended white. all great drinks that went well with our food. the servers were on point and attentive and the prices are not bad for what you get. The one thing that could improve is parking.

Wow I can't believe I get to post the first review of Crave! I am driving across.country from the foodie heaven that is the Bay Area, and I was thrilled when my local friend pulled us into Crave. The food is fresh and tasty, the service is friendly and efficient, the setting comfortable and snazzy in that post modern industrial way. Highly recommended.

'Nuff said....well...one more thing...First time i had a chile burger grab me by the collar and demand my attention..one other thing. today's like one of those days when i feel so cheated for not being born mexican....like that time i had cachisflan(sp?) for the first time, or tres leches... i had a michelada today.OMG! ...but i digress. that hatch chile burger....makes me regret missing the hatch chile festival....but i digress. Great standalone burger, but the chile knocks it out of the park

A little slice of Austin, TX hidden away in El Paso. I recommend the burgers w/ green chile mac n cheese. It's a good idea to share a salad and add slices of tuna. If it's Sunday, you can't go wrong with $1 mimosas!

Hmmm.... a hip, fresh take on American cuisine making use of local traditions in a delicious and inspiring way, am I in California? No, I'm in El Paso, enjoying the f***ing hell out of the green chile mac'n'cheese and whole hog burger at CRAVE. Chorizo on a burger? With ham and bacon? Órale. Everything here is good: salads, sides, sangwidges, mains. Couldn't recommend a better place to get great progressive cuisine in El Paso.

I love this little, hip, hot spot in the Kern area of El Paso. It's definitely on the trendy side and it makes me feel like I'm in Austin enjoying a beautiful day outdoors. As for the cuisine, the sweet potato waffle fries are ridiculously delicious and I've never had them made that way anywhere else. Plus, the marshmallow sauce that accompany the fries is a sweet treat too. Yum! The rest of the menu is pretty great too and the drink specials are unique with cucumber/mint agua fresca and freshly squeezed ginger lemonade. The restaurant itself could use more seating indoors and out to accommodate the crowds, but overall it's a dining must while you're in El Paso. PS- Be careful where you park around this establishment. The restaurant doesn't have a lot of parking so you're forced to park on the streets or in the Kern area where permits are required. Do not park at Davita Dialysis at any time even when they're closed. You will be towed and Crave does nothing to inform their customers about it.

The day starts with a bang with breakfast at Crave and then it goes downhill quickly. Their breakfasts are truly unique and well crafted. Lunch becomes ho-hum and then they completely fall apart at dinner. Crave seats about 16 people, so it's always tight. When the weather's nice, they have outdoor dining. I really cannot recommend Crave for anything but breakfast, but I highly recommend breakfast.

Finally had dinner here and the much mentioned green chile mac and cheese did not disappoint - plus they have a good beer selection and if you have room for desert, you should try it - the meat eaters were happy with their selections and they have plenty of veggie options.

Went here for breakfast while my dads were in town. Conveniently open at 7:00am for your breakfast needs! Skip on the coffee or bring your own because their coffee sucks, it was weak and bitter tasting, so I just stuck with my water, esp after she gave me a coffee cup with a full on mouth lipstick stain on it. as soon as she set the cup on the table she saw it just as quickly as I did and removed it promptly and was very embarrassed. I ordered the scramble with turkey and egg whites. My egg whites were perfectly cooked and the veggies and turkey were also both very good. For my side I ordered the whole wheat pancakes. They were about 10 minutes late to the table and cold once I got them, gross. Every time we asked for a napkin, or a cup of syrup (which was runny and gross) it would take our server forever to bring it to the table for us. Honestly felt like we were waiting more than we were enjoying ourselves. This place is cute and the food is pretty good, but the service needs some improvement in my opinion, esp for what and who they are striving to be.

Love the burgers! $5 on Tues nights at 8pm. I usually have mac and cheese or the spiced corn as a side. If you have more than 2 people, it can be quite a wait around dinner time. But overall it's good quality food which is hard to find in EP.

We had a great experience, awesome servers ( we had 2 for some reason). Food was not fantastic but good. I had the egg white omelet and it was tasty a bit boring but what can I expect from egg whites, also had the cool cucumber and mint water which was nice and refreshing. My friend had the wheat pancakes and they were pretty awesome. I am like many of the reviewers here, the place is a bit small and with the mirrors at the entrance I almost run into myself. But I will comeback its a fun and hip crowd place.

This place has quite of items I would like to try. I had the black and blue burger. It was good, but who makes a black and blue burger without bacon? I whould have gone with the crave burger. My wife had one of the breakfast sandwiches and said it was ok. I went on a Sunday around noon and it was pretty busy, but the service was very slow. The server also brought are meals in stages. They bought the main part of the meal and more five minutes later brought our sides. I will go back and try something else. This place was a few dollars too pricey for what you got. Good beer selection, but only six beers on draft (5 beers and 1 cider).

This is probably my favorite restaurant in El Paso, I've been here 3 years now and I haven't found anything that beats it as far as quality to price ratio goes. Highlights: The food is fantastic and all the entrees (except the steak I think) are under $20. The portions are pretty generous and they use a lot of quality products in your meal. I particularly like the Turkey and Brie sandwich, the burgers are quite good, tomato basil soup is a great starter, and my favorite is the Chicken and Waffles (around $15) which are absolutely amazing and can easily serve two people. All the larger entrees come with two sides, of which I would highly recommend the Green-Chili Mac and of course the Sweet-Potato waffle fries. Great beer selection, you can find a lot of hard to find beers here for reasonable prices. Also, this is one of the few bars that will do a 50/50 mix of beers like a snake-bite, black and tan, etc. $5 bottomless Mimosas on Sundays. I have yet to go for this yet, but this pretty much speaks for itself. Atmosphere is really cool, a lot of mirrors (probably to make it seem larger inside than it is), some art deco additions and a very classy looking bar. My one qualm with this restaurant is it's seating. It's just too small for the amount of business they can get at times. The table with the stools is unique and the stools are comfortable, but if it's crowded you can easily only have a few inches between you and the people eating next to you. There are four seats at the bar, so if there's a couple eating there, you're pretty much S.O.L. The table arrangement seems to be the best they can do given the limited floor space, but it's pretty small and manuevering between tables can be a hassle. Check this place out if you get a chance, great food for a great price.

The service is good and the food even better, specially the tomato pesto soup! The place is small and often you'll have to wait to be seated at dinner time. If you are not in a hurry and are willing to wait up to 15-20 min it'll be worth it. Overall I love this place. I strongly recommend it

El Pasoan's are easy to impress. This restaurant fails in so many areas. From the overly imbalanced tables that always require the waiters to adjust them, to the fact that they frequently run out of half & half in the mornings, and only add insult to injury by serving 2% milk and try to pass it off as cream. Plus the coffee is about as good as gas station coffee. Some of the food is great, sometimes. Notice I said some, as not all the food or even half qualifies. And, I did say sometimes. As even that "some" is hit or miss as they don't get it right twice in a row. Skip this place, save your money and aggravation. What a shame. It would have potential if the owners would spend some amount of time managing it, but they seem to have their sights set on other business ventures.

This place really 'makes hay while the sun shines'...their Haystack breakfast that is! Hash browns, THICK cut bacon, sausage, eggs, and giant pancakes. Whether you are there for a fun brunch on a Sunday or a casual lunch with a friend, you can rest easy knowing you are in for a lovely and very tasty meal. Today's lunch included a BLT on a perfect warm ciabatta roll (crispy thin crust and soft light inside), with a deliciously light aoli sauce. The soup? I wanted to sing, 'You're the best I ev-a had!!!' It was a Lemon Grass Coconut soup that was light, creamy, sweet, with fresh basil, lime, and crunchy macadamia nuts for the perfect texture! Just perfect with their refreshing cucumber mint water.

AMAZING!!! It is wonderful! Get the green chile mac with your meal because it is to die for! I love the black and bleu burger. Their wine selection is great, but they don't seem to refrigerate their beer, which I believe ruins it so I don't order any of their bottles. The decor is really nice and the service has always been good. The deserts are pretty good, but I don't really flip for desert unless a place offers something that isn't cake-like... personally I prefer things like creme brulee... but theirs are good despite not being too varied. Oh, and get the tuna appetizer.... it is wonderful! Whatever they put on it isn't the usual wasabi or ginger, and it is fantastic!!!

YAY!!! Im #35 to review CRAVE baby! OK, this place just ROCKS. Never have I felt such a flavor of sophistication in this area. I'm totally impressed, honestly. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken on waffle, my sides were waffled sweet potatos and green chili mac & cheese, complete with Ginger lemonade and it was stunningly presented and the flavors were outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Freshness was a given. Service was ON POINT. Atmosphere was wonderful. Outdoor seating was lovely. I urge you ALL to try and see. You truly WONT be sorry, I promise!

Blah. All hype, no substance. The food is nothing special and doesn't taste fresh. They use the typical tricks to make it taste good--lots of oil, salt, and garlic--but good is not the same as special or surprising. Ordered a fish taco entree (the cheaper one, not the $28 fish taco entree, that price is just laughable for tacos!), and the fish in some of the tacos tasted fishy--you know, like it had been sitting around for a while. Made me nervous, so I ended up focusing more on the sides: the Brussels sprouts (pretty good) and the elote (drowning in oil, yuck). The music was also very loud and trying too hard. I don't feel the need to go back when there are some other truly great spots right nearby (see my other reviews for the places I do like).

Crave was the first trendy restaurant in el paso with its hip decore and "trendy" menu. The best meal to have here is definitely breakfast/brunch. The lunch and dinner menu are "cooler" than they are good. The service is hit or miss. The Westside location is very small. The group that owns crave was the first to really push new restaurant concepts in El Paso, which is definitely something I appreciate.

Nutella hot chocolate, love!!! Also enjoyed the Biscuits and Green Chile Gravy that had a whole sausage patty sandwiched between each biscuit and the gravy and all topped off with a fried egg! It was way too big, hubby and I could have shared one order very easily. The fresh fruit plate was cool, long thin slices of melon and pineapple, but it was on the small side, I would have to categorize it as a double serving of a fruit garnish, but that is ok, since the biscuits and gravy portion was so huge! Only four stars because we went there specifically to try the Fried Chicken and Waffles and they couldn' t make them due to either not having the oil or the fryer not being hot enough soon enough, I didn't really understand our server's explanation. He was an excellent server and gave us good recommendations overall. We are planning to go back in the next couple of days and hope the oil or fryer will be set up so we can have our Chicken and Waffles experience.

Walk in to Crave and instantly you are confused by the huge mirrors on the wall. You are thinking this place is fairly large, then you realize, it is the mirrors playing tricks on you. It is actually, fairly small inside with few tables and an eight seat counter for additional seating. Small as it was, it was very busy. The service was very good and the food was not bad. I've never had chicken and waffle, but mixing the sweet syrup with buffalo sauce different. Add the jalapeno mac and cheese with waffle sweet potato fries, you will be stuffed.

I'll keep this one short. This place is small but easy enough to get a table at least at 8:00am on a Wednesday. But it's small yes and a bit cramped but it wasn't a put off at all. The food was good I know my buddy said his was good and he got some omlette or something. I got pancakes and even though they were good they could have been way better with a little more cooking. The outside of the was cooked perfectly but the inside was still mush in parts and it kinda forced me to eat around the edge of it. But overall if I get a change to leave Ft Bliss again for breakfast I may try this place or see what else El Paso has to offer. Nothing really to special about this place.

Really was disappointed in brunch today! Got sat right away even though I called on way over & was told it would be 45 minutes. Was happy we got sat right away but server was a little clueless as to what prices were for bottomless mimosa & whether they could serve lunch items or not. Food came out barely warmish and was worse as time went on since we all had to wait for silverware. Egg looked gross on my croque Madame. Nothing special about any of our plates. Got cinnamon fry bread as side item & was served a sopapilla!!! Really?!? I've had it before & it looks like a cinnamon roll. This was definitely not the same thing. Service not great at all either as usual every time I go there. Not going back!!!

Came here for brunch and tried the eggs sammy. It did not disappoint. Very good. Had mimosas too which were also good. Little one had the pancakes and they were huge! Very good too. Service was great, attentive and efficient. I will definitely be back.

Awesome breakfast! The service is slow, but worth the wait! Definitely order the bluberry pancakes as your side...the lemon curd on thise pancakes are amazing! If it wasn't for the slow service an, I would give it 5 stars.

Served a raw chicken breast to a member of my party who ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Major health risk and food violation. The kitchen is in need of a health inspection or they need to fire the cook staff. Gave my friend his food for free, that's little conciliation for impending salmonella poisoning

The food was really good! I tried the breakfast burrito and it was Delicious. M friend had the simple eggs and hash browns and bacon, however she was impressed as well. The service was good as well!

One of my favorite places to go. Never been disappointed. Last time went for the Sunday Brunch with my Girlfriend and her sister so I was able to see 3 different plates and all of them were delicious. Make sure you order a side of bacon. Thick cut and flavorful. We all had bloody mary and it was fantastic. It could get packed and parking could be a little tricky but well worth the effort.

Was extremely disappointed!!! I will say that almost all the reviews are about brunch but I ordered lunch, so take it for what it's worth. I got a chicken sandwich and a side of asparagus. The side was $5 and literally came with 5 pieces of stringy asparagus. Chicken sandwich was tiny! Extremely disappointed!!!!

What the heck has happened? I tried the chicken sandwich...when did creating a sandwich so big you can't really eat it become a trend. And by all means, let's pour a Tabasco based sauce over the whole thing so what you can fit in your mouth tastes like....well Tabasco! I also had their version of corn in a cup....canned corn, REALLY? Also covered in a hot vinegar based sauce, so that's all you taste. My favorite has always been the tuna ceviche...the last two times it was mushy, not the firm sushi grade tuna it is supposed to be. Nah, once a favorite place Of mine is now not even a top 10. I know there are expanding but I'm wondering if they are losing site of what made them so good at one time

This was the first time I visited Crave on the West side. We weren't sure if we could even find a parking spot when we saw so many people waiting in line, but luckily they had big enough parking spaces. Food was good as always. I got homemade chips and salsa, grilled chicken sandwich with pesto mayo, and sweet potato waffle fries w/ marshmallow sauce. (You have to get the sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce!! It's so addicting!) I personally like the east side location better though.. This one is so small so we had to share a table with someone. Also, they need more servers there. Even though there were a few tables open when we came in, because everyone was too busy taking orders and serving food, nobody was available to clean the table for like 15 minutes. Also, we saw servers serving breakfast at 11:30AM when we came in. We got so excited for pancakes but they told us that they finished serving breakfast at 10:30. And the reason why they're serving breakfast now was because the restaurant was busy and it took them 1 hour to cook... WHAT?! Soo be prepared to wait for your food if you're there for breakfast on weekend. Wait time for our food wasn't that bad. Appetizer came in so quick and we probably waited for 20-30 min for our meals. But overall, their food is worth the wait and I'm definitely going back thousand times more!

Having been to crave on the east side, we were in the area on the west side and in bad need of some breakfast. This review however, will not be about pancakes and stuff... Because we got there at 1100 and they stop serving breakfast at 1030 lol. Slightly smaller than the east side location, but not less busy. We waited about 30 minutes for our seat. I ordered chicken and waffles. Very good, as was the last time I was here and ordered chicken and waffles lol. Sweet potato fries and the marshmallow sauce was on point. Mac and cheese: yes please. I cant really write a much different review, as I had the exact same thing as I did at the east side spot, and it was of exact same quality. Soooo, if you want a full page review of either spot, search my east side one lol. Otherwise, this was par for the crave course. But I swear to god.. I'm getting breakfast at crave one of these days!!! Mark my words... I will wake up (doubtful honestly) and leave the house by 0900 on a weekend and get Crave Breakfast!!!! Das It Mayne

One of the places I must come to any time I am coming through town. The food is always extremely tasty, as in every little taste bud tingles kind of tasty. How can you make Eggs Benedict better??? By adding some El Paso spice and calling it Eggs Blackstone! I seriously almost licked my plate!! My daughter said her pancakes tasted like cinnamon rolls and loved them but there was way too much for even a teenager to eat. My husband had the "no brainer" and he loved it! Bacon, avocado, cheddar, red onion, tomato, eggs and that chipotle hollandaise sauce I engulfed on the Eggs Blackstone! Everything is fresh and really, not what I would be willing to play for weekend brunch! I wish there was one of these in every city. :) Oh, there will probably be a wait....just so you know....at least on the west side. I did go to the east side this last Sunday but they close at 6 pm :(

From the first time I went to Crave with my fiance, I knew I was going to be a fan. Unfortunately... things have changed since. The menu and food used to be a little different but it was good enough to make it seem like an unobtainable distant dream. At one point the restaurant tried going super fancy on everyone and it turned onto a complete mess. I was told by an employee that the owners wives pick what'll be on the menu and they get carried away. It's since begun to make its way back to its roots but inconsistency in the food keeps my 5-star review at bay. Praying for a fish and chips return...

Sat outside since I brought my dog with me. Its not exactly patio seating, more like 4 tables on the sidewalk/parking lot. Quick service, brought my dog water, food was delicious! I ordered a pomegranate tea and they brought extra pomegranate juice in a carafe. Very nice so I didnt need to order a refill. Im happy this is a pet friendly place to eat, just wish it was more of a patio. But given the location, I underatand.

In truth my visit didn't start out well; when asked by the waiter what I'd like to drink I replied, as always, "green tea," to which the waiter not only confessed they did not have but added they had no hot teas of any kind. I found that quite odd given the type of clientele they were looking to attract -- a bit worldly, creative, maybe upwardly mobile new-age yuppie and such. While I didn't ask for sparkling water, I would hope they had that in supply as well. Anyway, Crave is a small, modern looking cafe-ish kitchen/bar with a nice atmosphere and feel. I think it holds about 9 small tables, plus a long counter top for seating. Since my girlfriend and I stopped in for breakfast, she chose Eggs Blackstone: poached eggs, black forest ham, and tomato served on an English muffin and topped with spicy tomato hollandaise. I went with the No Brainer ... literally. The No Brainer is a bacon, avocado, cheddar, red onion, tomato, two eggs, and a chipotie hollandaise sandwich. And that's where things turned around for the folks at Crave. Nothing more to say than both dishes were very good. In fact, I was surprised there weren't more folks dining at the time -- the place should have been packed. My girl said is was really good, that she'd love to go back and order the same thing -- and she rarely flatters any food prepared outside her own kitchen. For my part, I truly enjoyed the "No Brainer," just a very good combination. If they step up their game in the beverage department and, maybe, drop the dining music a few decibels (it should compliment conversation, by being a subtle inclusion in the background), this would have been an easy four star or four 1/4 stars review.

The food and atmosphere are great and remind me of places in Dallas uptown. Like many before me have mentioned, the service is non-existent and awkward. It's a very small restaurant with 4 cozy tables outside and seating for maybe 20 inside. They had 3 servers working and they were nice enough but we had to go inside to get them to place the order and had to request refills multiple times. I mean really! Who lets your mimosa go empty?!? Or coffee for that matter. The peppered bacon was great and plentiful, hash brown weren't even a tiny bit soggy and the cinnamon butter for the pancakes was awesome! Supposedly their other location is larger and the staff is better. I wouldn't Not eat here because of the service just know to keep your expectations low in advance.

I'll keep this short as Crave is probably one of the best reviewed places in El Paso. I went to Crave several times about a year ago. Immediately loved the place. My first time back in a year was very good but not quite perfect. Despite a pretty busy Saturday morning I was able to grab a seat at the bar. My biggest complaint with Crave continues to be the cramped conditions. The bar stools are jammed too close each other so actually sitting at the bar is quite a feat. I would imagine larger patrons would not even try to squeeze in there. I'm giving Crave only 4 stars because I think the bar service needs some work and I was a little disappointed with parts of the food today. PI atrons who eat at the bar (including three other people next to me) had to ask for utensils. It was a busy Saturday morning so I get it. But each party that squeezed up to the bar had to ask for utensils after their food came out. And although I got my water refilled service was generally lacking today. On to the food. I ordered the green child sausage biscuit and gravy with a side of hashbrowns. The flavor of this dish was outstanding. The green chili added quite a bit of heat but was not overpowering. Biscuits and sausage was perfectly proportioned. And it was ALOT of food. I couldn't finish it all. But parts of the dish were definitely only lukewarm at best so I'm not sure if my food sat for a while. But I received the food about 10-15 minutes after ordering so I dunno. I was a disappointed with the side of hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were pretty small and def the soft, not-crispy variety. If you want it crunchy ref request it. I really do like Crave and consider most of their food to be 5 star quality. But there is some room for improvement in the service at the bar. Update: Came in on a Sunday at noon with my friend and got seated right away surprisingly. Waitress took drink order and food order pretty quickly. The wait for food was a little long but the place was jam packed so not too surprising. I got the fried chicken and honey biscuit sandwich. It's actually two separate sandwiches. Huge amount of food. Chicken was perfect. Biscuits were nice and fluffy. Meal is messy since they drizzle honey on top of biscuit. Meant to be eaten with knife and fork. I also got side of scrambled egg. Surprising amount of egg for a single order! Pepper shaker was out of pepper at table. Friend got the black stone eggs Benedict. He liked it but the eggs were way overcooked and the presentation was a little off (eggs weren't positioned well on bread). I love crave but I agree with the reviews that service can def be hit or miss and the food while very good, often amazing. can sometimes be a little room temp or over cooked (like my friends eggs Benedict).

Hip, chic, and a chill place to have breakfast. Small space. Great staff. Fast service. Deliciouse food. I ordered the fried chicken and waffle which was awesome...although one chicken would have been enough but my eyes were bigger than my stomach and ordered two pieces.

I liked it when ever I went I enjoyed it. This one is better than the one in Rojas in my opinion but Rojas is closer. I just hate when I find a menu item I love and go back and it's gone. One thing that never disappoints....the sweet potatoes fries with the marshmallow sauce, can u say love cause that's what I feel every time I eat them.

Just a few words... Sweet Potato Waffle Fries with Cinnamon Marshmallow Creme! Oh Boy! Tastes like Thanksgiving. This place reminds me of the tiny, packed, trendy restaurants in LA. The menu is pretty simple, but offers a variety of food choices. I was tempted to try the chicken and waffles, but CA Roscoe's can't be topped! I split the Turkey, Bacon, Brie sandwich with Cranberry chutney on ciabatta bread with my sister. She ordered a side of homemade chips which were seasoned with lime salt and served with a side of salsa that was a sauce. Everything was HOT and delicious. We also ordered the coconut iced tea, which was soooooooo good, but cost extra for refills. They have a full bar, and interestingly enough, the server told us we could have take out including beer and wine and alcohol is 1/2 off the price of having it for dine in. Recommend this place if you don't mind being in close quarters with your neighboring diners and servers. The food is worth the wait!

Oh man. Talk about delicious. I had the bacon waffle sandwich with sausage and egg. Just pour syrup over the top and you have all the necessary ingredients for breakfast. The sandwich was huge - although a little cold - but overall pretty tasty. My parents both had good plates as well, and we enjoyed the cinnamon bread thing that came first. CRAVE is small inside, but very inviting. We sat at a raised table on barstools and enjoyed ourselves all around.

Not worth going back to. We walked in when there were empty tables but it still took them about 25 minutes to bring out our food from the time we ordered it. Never saw our waitress except when she took the order and brought the checks though she was very polite. The food was okay. I had a turkey brie bacon sandwich. It was a little dry. It was all very mediocre. I did like the sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce, though I didn't expect to.

An awesome place to have brunch on the weekends. Just wish they had more seating. I got the nutella waffles which were amazing. My husband had the green chile bendict, which he also enjoyed. The portion sizes are huge, and very reasonably priced. The rest of the menu looks awesome, and I cannot wait to go there again.

AWESOME! I had breakfast here this morning and was blown away with the cuisine. Talk about taking the American cuisine to a new level. This place was flat out delicious. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak for breakfast. It was covered with the green chile gravy and two over easy eggs on top. The cinnamon bread served before breakfast was a nice touch. If you're visiting from out of town like I am, add this place to your list. It's probably one of the best restaurants in El Paso. If you live here, well enjoy!

We were just in El Paso for the weekend from Calif. and were told it was hard to find vegetarian food here. We saw a yelp review for Crave and decided to try it. OMG...We enjoyed our breakfast soooo much (egg sammy and blueberry pancakes w/ lemon curd...to die for!) we came back for dinner. Since we knew we would probably not be back we shared a bunch of things...coconut soup w/ lemon grass, macadamia nuts and cilantro, spinach and artichoke dip, portabello mushroom sandwich, grilled asparagus, sweet potato fries and topped it off with an almost baked cookie. Seriously...one of the best meals ever. This place could hold its own in San Francisco...you are lucky to have it here! Not only was the food great but the wait staff was friendly and very helpful, the music good, and great ambiance. We'll be back for breakfast again in the morning, then flying home where we'll be trying to come up with an excuse to come back!

I definitely did not believe the hype - until I went there today. We decided to go for breakfast/brunch and even though there was a bit of a line, we didn't have to wait for too long - probably around 10 minutes. Don't get too confused if you walk in and there is a group of people waiting at the entrance, just find a waiter/waitress who looks like they aren't too busy, give your name and then wait. You won't regret it. I ordered the Hay Stacks (hash browns with 2 types of eggs, sausage, bacon and a side) and the husband ordered a breakfast burrito. The portions are massive and we ordered a side which consisted of a stack of 3 pancakes which also came with cinnamon butter and maple syrup. Everything I ate on that plate was delicious and 4 hours later, I was still full. The sausage was a patty that was not your usual thin patty, this one was the size of 2 or 3 patties put together and absolutely deliciously greasy. The breakfast burrito was also filled with potatoes and meat and goodness. The pancakes were also large and beautifully fluffy. I am going to have to be very careful with this place or I'm going to be very very fat. A few changes? Get a bigger place because the way that it is set up right now, I kept getting bumped by waitresses, children and people just trying to get out of their seats. In fact, the way that our square table was placed, 2 of the seats could not be used if people were at the bar since it was butt-to-back and there was no way it would be comfortable for anyone sitting there. Maybe put more tables outside?

I usually enjoy coming here, but their service seems to be on the decline. We came in on a Sunday around noon and the parking lot was packed. True to EP fashion, cars usually get a little creative with parking, so passages may get tight as you're looking for a spot. The waiting area inside was an afterthought, but there are plenty of benches outside to wait. Can't imagine how comfortable that will be with the warmer temps quickly approaching. We opted for the back outside patio since we had two kids with us and only waited about 20 minutes to get a table. We were a little--actually a lot--disappointed with our service. It wasn't until we finally decided on what we were going to eat that the waitress thought to offer us a kids menu. Also, we saw our server once throughout our entire meal and thats only because we flagged her down. After that, we saw her only to clear our table and bring our check. The food was great and I'm willing to come back, despite their inattentive service. It appears that customer service isn't really a priority for Crave and seems to be a common theme amongst Yelpers recently. Perhaps because they have decent food, they think can provide subpar customer service.

I've been to this location of Crave more than any other other location and the food is always amazing. I've been sticking to my "home base" of orders which is always the grilled chicken pesto sandwich with sweet potato fries. However i have tried all the burgers there which are really good and most of the other menu items. The fried chicken and waffles are definitely something you need to try from Crave. Not only is it good but its a lot of food. I always have enough with the half order. The shaved ribeye sandwich is a perfect meeting of your craving for steak but also a sandwich. The grilled mahi tacos are so fresh and lean. They also have a kick to it with the chiles toreados. If it's your first time to crave make sure to try the green chili mac and cheese. You've never taste anything like it again. Its rich and creamy and best of all the green chili is spicy enough to enjoy. The only negative i have to say about Crave which is also what i think holds it down is the service. Honestly the service most of the time is odd and awkward. Not that the servers are plain rude but it feels like they don't enjoy what they do and most of all i always feel like I'm bothering them when i'm dining in. A simple "Hello welcome to Crave" would go a long way and it doesn't cost a thing. The hostess's only message is "table for how many?". Maybe it's because of the size of the restaurant but I myself as a marketer believe no matter how good your food is your customer service should be top notch everyday. Especially in El Paso where restaurants tend to open and become really popular and then they forget about treating people right and end up closing. And for that, I would rather much dine in at the Resler location and only order for pick up at the Cincinnati location.

Was very disappointed....Being my 3rd visit I tried to give this place a chance and not leave a review right away. The staff is very busy, inattentive, and the service is very poor. Every time I've come they only have 3 servers and a host. The owners should consider staff with one more because it is very difficult to even get a drink refill. When our food came out it looked amazing....however it must have been sitting a while because it was very cold. We would have sent it back but we had already waited over 30 minutes for what was a simple meal. We ordered wheat blueberry pancakes and a scramble. Don't get me wrong, the food was a little above average however it was cold. Totally let down. I will say one thing. The Crave on Resler is very good and I would recommend giving that location a shot.

Had a great experience with the food. The portions are shareable so be ready. Have been there for breakfast and lunch and everything we have ordered from pancakes, delicious (not a fan of the cinnamon butter but they gave me regular)to the oatmeal (great texture, not too pasty) to the basil soup (yummy) and the ahi tuna sandwich was fantastic. Problem, went to the one on Cincinnati and Stanton street and the seating is way too tight inside. I could not help hearing the couple next to us fighting, to the girlfriends talking about their love life . Impossible not to hear. If you want to conduct a business meeting don't do it here, everyone will know you business by the time you leave. Like I said great food, good servers. Also get ready to wait, it's just not a fast serve kinda place, it will take time ...

Okay, so here is the deal: I like going to the original Crave at Kern on Cincinnati. Lately, I have noticed a noticeable drop in the ability of the waitstaff. I don't know if it is because they have spread themselves too thin with all their other new places, but the wait staff is having issues. Lots of sitting around and talking, when once they were probably the best wait staff in the city. The food has not suffered a similar fate, with the exception of the once excellent appitizer tuna ceviche, which is getting thinner and thinner sliced with every visit. Soon to be paper thin. The last time I visited, they were out of their traditional wings and offered a boneless alternative, which turned out to be a dry, and tasteless.

  • N S.

Parking was a pain! The wait was ridiculous and only three people on the staff were actually working. I'm not a fan of the 20 something yr olds running this place day to day. The male bartender, a waiter with christian tattoos seemed to be doing their job. And the really tall, skinny bus boy was busting his butt working hard. I wish I had cash to give directly to him when we were there. Everyone else was joking around and not doing their jobs. If the food wasn't so great, we would have complained to the manager and walked out. The burger was great. But, I'd rather go somewhere else!!! SERVICE WAS PATHETIC. NOT GOING BACK.

Let me see how I can say this, WOW WOW WOW!!!! Found this place trying to find a good breakfast spot. It will not disappoint. Let me say that we went two mornings in a row for breakfast. It is small but was worth the short wait for a table and this was on a Saturday morning with a cycling team already there and many locals. First day consisted of The No Brainer breakfast sandwich (bacon, avocado, cheddar, eggs, chipotle hollandaise, tomato, and red onion)-I dare anybody to finish it all, Bacon-Waffle Sandwich (yes, bacon cooked into the waffle w/eggs, sausage patties, cheese, tomato slices), Eggs Blackstone (eggs benedict PUMPED UP with a spicy hollandaise and black forest ham), half order Buttermilk Fried Chicken (crisp, juicy and delish). All of us had the fresh berries as sides and Mimosa's (we were on vacation). Just know that no alcohol hits the table before your meal does. That maybe just a breakfast thing but worth the wait. Second day consisted of the Whole Hog Scramble (if the meat came from a pig it was in here), Biscuits and Green Chile Gravy (green chile gravy covered sausage patties, biscuits and eggs, OH MY!!! You cannot eat it all), Chorizo Scramble (delicious cooked chorizo mixed with egg served open on a large flour tortilla), and the Steak and Egg breakfast burrito (that will make you want to take a nap after consuming). Fresh berries all around again but no Mimosas this day cause we had to bowl early. If there were time I wanted to go a third time. Especially for their burger night, think that is on a Tuesday. They also did not have a liquor license but their other store did. Again, don't know what the deal is with that because a spicy Bloody Mary would have sent the visits over the top but still deserving of a 5-star rating for the food. Highly recommend eating here. Staff is efficient and very friendly!!

I dropped in around 5:30pm on a weekday. My server, Katherine, was GREAT and very attentive. She also made excellent menu recommendations. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp for starters and the Mahi sandwich with green chile mac and cheese. Food from the kitchen came fairly quickly for me, but the solo guest beside me received her food when I was paying and getting ready to leave, although she ordered about 10 minutes before me. The only negative for me was it too long to receive my check and my card back once I was able to pay.

    (4)
  • Peter V.

I got the bacon shrimp to start. The first one I bit into was frozen. I continued with the waffles and chicken. The waffle was a waffle, it met expectations. The chicken was a flavorless lump of fried pointlessness. Use some salt! Some pepper! The waffle fried sweet taters were good, however. My friends said their burgers we're good. The service was spotty, we asked for waters several times and eventually I just had to go to the bar. The worst thing was the music though. Terrible throbbing electronic punishment. Avoid if you're hungover. Actually, just avoid.

I was tempted to knock off a star due to the severe lack of parking. However I don't feel that is the restaurants fault. Just be prepared to circle the block once or twice. I was immediately greeted as I walked in and shown to a table, when I asked for a corner table they accommodated me without incident. The server was friendly and brought me a generous sample of a beer I was unfamiliar with. I ordered a tall and she returned with a regular explaining they were out of tall glasses so she would bring me a second regular free of charge. The portions were generous, flavor was complex and expertly executed. The service was quick, courteous and not overbearing. I would definitely recommend Crave to anyone who stumbled upon my review.

The food was good and the service was good, nothing I would go out of my way for. My suggestions would be to offer something else as a dip for the kettle chips and warm them up. I wouldn't order them again without changes. Also, servers should work with together not against one another. The female server wasn't helping the male working when we were there, even for refills when we asked her she just got him....not good customer service

.Breakfast. The quintessential meal of the day. The meal that makes or breaks your day. Well folks. Today craze definitely is making my day. Ordered the Egg Sammy. No qualms with this sandwich whatsoever. When it was brought to me I thought I would hate the mayo put on it considering I'm not a huge mayo fan. But it definitely brought the whole thing together. From the eggs to the spinach to the tomatoes to the perfectly toasted ciabatta bread it all came together nicely. The meal came with one side which I opted to order the blueberry pancakes. Pure bliss. The fact that I didn't even touch the syrup is a testament to how amazing these pancakes were. I'd come back for those pancakes alone! Did I mention they serve mimosas? And to top it off theyll even put pineapple juice in the mix. Which is how I love my mimosas. The key to any man's heart is a mimosa in the morning to keep the buzz going. Be warned, this beautiful thing doesn't come without a price. And at 5 dollars a pop I'd say that's the only issue I have. Then again we get paid for a.reason right? And let's be honest. Mimosas are the bearded unicorn of the alcohol industry. Why not pay to enjoy it!?!? IM BATMAN!!!!

The Amigo "roll" was delicious, if you can call stuffing a jalapeño with spicy tuna, cream cheese and then fry it in tempura. Either would so come back just for that. The crab salad was less than spectacular. Greens were warm and wilting, and drown in some eel/wine vinegar concoction that did not help the dish. Next time I will avoid the salads because everything else was definitely delicious . The service was polite and friendly. And the bathrooms were clean, which to me always relates to the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen. Would definitely recommend.

I will start off by saying you will not be disappointed and I will finished saying the same ! This place is listed as the top breakfast spot in El Paso for a reason. I had the No Brainer and it was excellent, eggs bacon cheese and avacado, how could you not ?. I liked their hollandaise sauce because of the spicey kick, also the country potatoes were good as well. The staff was helpful but let you do your own thing which was cool because I got some work done. I also had the granola, Greek yogurt , fresh fruit and honey and it along with the coffee was good. Needless to say I will be back the next time I am out this way, I suggest you do the same, you will not be disappointed

This place is amazing! Top notch service, friendly staff, great location. And just about the best bugers you'll ever have! And the jalapeño Mac n cheese will absolutely change your life. If you're ever in el paso, don't miss this place.

The best thing about this restaurant is that no matter how many times you go, the food is ALWAYS great. The consistency of this place is why it is one of my favorite restaurants and a go-to for any occasion. Crave satisfies without flaws. The only day I won't go to Crave is on a Tuesday because they have the $5 burgers and the line is hours long. Any other day, for any meal Crave is always an option. The House Salad with Tuna Ceviche is a delicious fresh meal. The Ahi Tuna Sandwich is great when you are really hungry. I usually get the turkey bacon and brie sandwich with the cranberry chutney. All the dishes are great, but it is always a battle when choosing a side, criss cut sweet potatoe fries with a spicy ketchup, green chile mac n cheese, asparagus, or the borunda corn are all DELICIOUS!

We pulled in at 1:30pm and could not find a place to park which, for me, is a good sign. The vibe is ve y hipster-ish as you approach. Food is very good. We tried the Big Bang Burger, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Spinach-Garlic Dip. Service was good. Downfall was that prices were a bit high for lunch. Still worth a visit if you want great food.

I've had a steady diet of Mexican since I've visited El Paso. But if you want a really good American restaurant to go to, this is THE place in El Paso!

I read the reviews and came for breakfast/brunch which they don't offer after 10:30 during the week. The turkey, Brie and bacon sandwich was very tasty. I did not care for the spicy seasoning on the fries. My server was very friendly. Since I read so many reviews about breakfast, I was really wanting breakfast so the 3 stars aren't entirely their fault. The food was flavorful and the service was fine.

Much better than the Crave on Rojas. The waitress was attentive and the food came out in a fairly reasonable time. The music was a bit loud, but other than that I really have nothing bad to say about this Crave (:

The green chile burger is life! I like going to Crave on weekdays for lunch because dinner or weekends it is uncomfortably packed.

Driving through El Paso on the way to Austin and stopped for breakfast. Place is bomb. Only reason why I'm giving four stars it took a little longer than i expected to get the food out and my bffs burrito wasn't up to par. She didn't like the way the eggs weren't scramby scramby and said it lacked flavor but the salsa they serve on the side was really good and spicy. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast and that was sooooo good. I posted a picture. The bacon was also cooked perfectly. Would come back.

Meh. Maybe I'm not cool or hipster enough or I'm too close to thirty, but I did not enjoy my experience here. The building is very tiny, and the waiter we had was extremely rude. My daughter was walking back from the restroom and you could read his body language that he was very irritated waiting for her to walk past. I wanted to tell him off. She's 8! She doesn't understand the flow of traffic in your mousehole restaurant! The food left something to be desired. We ordered some kind of veggie omelet and I felt like I could have made it much better at home. I ordered a side of fruit with it, and it was literally three slices. Huge disappointed. You want a good brunch? Go to Ripe on Redd Ave. Way, way better!!

The sole purpose of this review is just gonna be based on their Tuesday special. Every Tuesday Crave has a special on their burgers. All burgers on this day are $5. It's a very good deal. I would say that their burgers are very worthy at that price instead. You can't go wrong with any burger. The fries are delicious as well. Now on this day, the average wait time to get seated would be about an hour or more. This of course is a huge negative but hey, burgers are 5 bucks. I think it might be me but I always find the music inside to be loud. It is a restaurant not a club. They do actually have a dj there. I have a hard time conversing with my friends when I am there. As what I have seen from their menu, I think that their food is over priced. In conclusion, the burgers and fries are delicious and affordable on Tuesday nights if you want to wait outside for about an hour.

I only did 4 stars because my fiancé didn't enjoy his food much. I am better at ordering food, so I got something amazing. The green Chile Mac N cheese is worth all the hype it gets.. Creamy, decadent, delicious! The turkey brie and bacon sandwich was absolutely incredible! He had the chicken sandwich and said the sauce seeped into the bun too much making it an awful texture and the chicken breast was so big it was hard to tear into. He ended up shredding it himself. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially since it has a sign that says they don't have WiFi, so enjoy each other's company. Lovely. Cute place. And the chicken is cage free and hormone free.

The sound level on the music was so high that it impeded conversation, and tables are much too close together, but the food was good. Chicken and waffles are always amazing. The brick baked chicken was good but it was very salty, and served with salty Brussels sprouts and salty asparagus, it was overkill. The chili bomber burger was reportedly good but needs to be eaten with a knife and fork because it slops apart. We have had dinner at crave on 2 separate occasions and didn't wait to be seated either time.

I really liked what I ordered! It was Shaved Ribeye Sandwich (I think they used garlic bread) and a side of Green Chile mac-n-cheese. Oh wow. Amazing. I was so full. Our group liked the other sides (asparagus, beets, green beans)... except the corn cup. The restaurant is not big. Service was a little bit slow but it was an OK service overall. Will definitely go back! Parking is limited/street parking. Read the street signs.

Hubby and I are staying in El Paso visiting from San Diego for the week and stopped here for a quick bite. Place has a very hip look to it and great customer service. Our waitress was super friendly and recommended some yummy items. I had the tomato basil soup that was super fresh with a delicious side of sourdough bread with a goat cheese spread. I also had a roasted veggie sandwich with some kettle chips and a side salad. Everything was delicious and fresh. Hubby had their chicken and waffles and a side of Mac and cheese. Great portions, great food, and great service! I highly recommend it! :)

It's good but can be a hit or miss and can be overrated. Recently we sat on the patio because inside was too packed. It's a little discerning to have so many people freely smoke feet away while you're trying to eat. Not only did our food all come at different times but half of my parties food was cold. It was a Sunday and I know they can be busy, but cold food is never acceptable. That experience and another one a couple of weeks after would have left me at 2 stars, but I have also had many pleasant experiences here. They used to have an unlimited mimosa brunch that was always a favorite of ours to start off Sunday Funday. Now they still have mimosas and the brunch is pretty spot on. The green chilli mac n cheese never fails and neither does the burgers. The staff is pretty great on the most part. The week nights and lunch are the best times to go, the weekends get too busy and quality may suffer due to that.

Yelp directed me here and yelp did not disappoint. I used the tips on the establishments size to determine an early arrival (8am) on a Sunday morning. Parking was simple. I sat at the bar (dining alone at a table doesn't work for me) and received exceptional service. My coffee was hot and freshly made. The cucumber mint agua fresca was refreshing and offered unlimited refills! I ordered a half order of sauced chicken and waffles. Sauced means your chicken is covered in buffalo sauce. It was tasty with the syrup. The waffle could've been a bit more crisp but really it doesn't matter. So you get a side with your breakfast. This includes anything from cottage cheese to a short stack to homefries. My waiter recommended blueberry short stack with lemon curd. Yum! A sweet side to my savory meal. 3 decent sized pancakes as a side to a big waffle and fried chicken breast. This was a TON of food. Wheel me out please. The bill was 15 bucks. WoW. (considering I won't be hungry for another 12 hours)

Seriously some of the best brunch I've ever had. I got halfway through my breakfast sandwich (the "no brainer") and realized I needed to take a picture for yelp even though I'm neither a hipster nor a junior high girl. We were in town for the weekend and pretty sad we won't be able to go back. Super crowded as we got there, though. I'd try to get reservations or be prepared to wait.

Was down in El Paso for a few days and got the recommendation to try this place out from a few friends. I was not disappointed! Atmosphere: Pretty cool, chill, and upscale looking type of hip place. YES, IT IS SMALL, AND THE MIRRORS DO GIVE AN ILLUSION, so be careful not to slam your face into the glass! The have some jazz fusion/lounge music type playing. Staff: Very friendly and gave great recommendations. I wasn't sure of the type of drink to order, so my waiter brought me a sample of a few of the drinks for me to try! He also gave great food recommendations as well. Food: I ended up getting the Mac & Cheese paired with the Chile Bomber Burger. Asked to remove the bacon and they had no problem with it. The burger was def. juicy, filling and spicy. The mac & cheese was warm with a kick and hit the spot. Overall: Would def. recommend to anyone in the West El Paso area!

I wish I could give Crave 3.5 stars, because they definitely deserve it. My husband and I recently went to Crave on a Saturday for brunch around 10 am. There were three groups in front of us; however, one huge party sitting outside taking up two spots. As a result, we waited almost a full hour to be seated (and we didnt get our food until 1120). By the time we were seated, outside on the "patio", we ordered our food. The coffee was incredibly disappointing. It was burnt, and the first cup my husband was given had lipstick on it, almost like it was never washed. This alone will take a very long time for me to forget, and many months before I can stomach going to visit Crave again. All in all, my breakfast (nutella waffles) were good, but my husband wasnt impressed with his meal and he isnt the most difficult guy to please. With all of the hype surrounding Crave, maybe we expected too much, but because of our experience we probably wont be back for a few months.

I am a fan of this place! Everything looks delicious...can't help to stare at others people's dish and what the staff is carrying. For myself, I ordered fish sandwich with mac & cheese, the fish on the sandwich was thick and juicy. You can actually taste the fish. My friend ordered the ahi tuna sandwich, it looked and tasted amazing! I will definitely be back to try other stuff on the menu. The only neg would be the inside seating area is limited, so just prepare to wait during peak time.

Ahi Tuna Burger and sweet potato fries!! Amazing. I absolutely love crave. The food, the decor. I just never like the service. For such a Tiny place you would think you wouldn't be ignored so much. All three times I've been there it's been the same. Of course I'm taking about the downtown location. I went to brunch at the west location, and the minute I was sat I felt incredibly uncomfortable with how close we were sitting with strangers in both sides of us. Felt like a cafeteria. We had to leave. Stat.

Probably one of my favorite places to eat in El Paso. I come to town every holiday to visit my parents, and I'm always sure to catch a meal at Crave. Trust me- you haven't had Mac n cheese until you try their Mac with green chilies! The only downside is say is the seating. It's a pretty tight squeeze in there... I wish they could expand because it's such a great restaurant!

Crave Kitchen & Bar satisfyingly delivers on both the breakfast and lunch fronts. Breakfast-wise, my husband and I generally share their buttermilk pancakes. The pancakes are surprisingly low on sugar, which suits us just fine, because we get to pour even more genuine maple syrup on top of our stack! (Being from Québec, I appreciate Crave not automatically serving artificial table syrup along with their pancakes, like most other breakfast joints in town.) Lunch-wise, we generally share their tuna ceviche and shrimp quesadillas, which are both tastily put together. (I should mention at this point that Crave kindly accommodates diet restrictions. Indeed, being pesco-vegetarian, I always ask our server to hold the chorizo on the quesadillas, which never seems to pose any trouble to the kitchen.) Given Crave's strengths in both the breakfast and lunch areas, the promise of enjoying both their breakfast and lunch items at the same time, in the form of their advertised Sunday Brunch, had me excited. Unfortunately, Crave defines Brunch in a rather unusual way, one that, in my eyes at least, negates the whole concept of Brunch. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Crave does not, for all intents and purposes, actually serve Brunch, even though their website claims they do. The portmanteau word "Brunch" implies that both breakfast and lunch overlap, with breakfast being served beyond breakfast-time (over lunchtime), and lunch being served beyond lunchtime (over breakfast-time), thus allowing patrons to enjoy lunch with their breakfast and/or breakfast with their lunch, depending on their preference. Crave's definition of Brunch, however, gives the "Lunch" part of the expression the short end of the stick, with breakfast being served all-day long, and lunch being served at boring, old lunchtime. In other words, Crave serves an all-day breakfast on Sundays, not Brunch (lunch being served at the appropriate time). And so, those looking to have Brunch in the "lunch with breakfast" sense of the word will be disappointed. Indeed, when I first visited Crave for their purported Brunch (around 11AM or so) and ordered both breakfast and lunch items, I was informed by my server (who did not seem to realize the irony of her statement) that part of my Brunch (i.e., the lunch part) would have to wait until noon. For these reasons, those looking to enjoy a genuine brunch experience (i.e., breakfast and lunch at the same time, starting late morning and ending mid-afternoon) should, unfortunately, look elsewhere.

I ordered the Crave Burger there last week and it was yummy. However, the winner of the dish was the sweet potato waffle fries... they were served with some sort of dipping sauce which had a fluff base, cinnamon and maybe something else. I could have eaten these ALL DAY. Delicious. It was a bit breezy out and in the low sixties but we sat outside near the fire pit which was really nice. Service however was kind of slow though and we had to ask for the check when the meal was served because we had somewhere to be. It was a Friday morning and we got there at 10:37 hoping for breakfast but they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30 and wouldn't budge. Another slight disappointment. I would go back but definitely go earlier for breakfast because the meals that people had around me for breakfast looked fantastic!

Absolutely, positively. Madly, deeply. In love with Crave. Seriously, I love this place so hard! If you want a true El Paso foodie experience with local flavors, Crave is the place you need to go. Personally I prefer this Crave because I appreciate small places doing big things, but if you like your elbow room then maybe the other location is for you. I will admit, the very first time I walked into this Crave I did almost run into the floor to wall mirrors. Twice. But in my defense, the mirrors are on both sides and it was at night when Crave dims the lights. Hey, someone had the right idea...mirrors really open up a room. Every time I go to Crave, I spend a good 10-15 minutes staring at the silverware hanging from the ceiling. I always have this Final Destination clairvoyance moment where I see everyone being attacked by these silver hanging forks. But the angle is all wrong for that to even happen. Unless there was an earthquake. No, in all seriousness, it's all legit safe and is probably one of my favorite pieces of kitchen art I've ever seen. So far my favorite thing I've gotten at Crave is probably the Tuna Ceviche, mostly because of my weakness for fresh tuna (seared will forever be my preference, but I'll take it anyway I can get it). It's super simple, but the lemon flavors on the tuna is perfect. And although I try to steer clear of anything with bird in it (chicken, duck, turkey...and it may be necessary to go as far as saying pigeon) once in a while I'll venture to the dark side of the proteins and order a bird dish. The last time it snowed here in EP I dragged my dad to Crave and we both ordered, among other things, the Turkey and White Bean Chili. Touchè Crave. Loved it. The beans are in equal abundance to the bits of ground turkey and the honey biscuit on the side is a great addition to a well-known dish. As you've probably already read, the Mac 'n Cheese is phenom so just order it already. For you southern Roscoe's lovers, Crave has you covered...it's one of the only places in El Paso (that I know of) where you can order Chicken and Waffles. And if you make it to dessert, try the Pot Brownie. You can't go wrong with anything covered in caramel. Also worth noting, (to my knowledge) there is not actually pot in the brownie...it's just a name. I've never had awful service here, but it still is a department that could improve. Most days everyone is pretty attentive, but I've had slow service before. As long as they have a smile it isn't too upsetting. On the wintery day I went with my dad, our waitress actually spent about 10 mins just helping him navigate the menu and choose what he wanted. I love Crave. My dad was thoroughly impressed so it's 100% dad approved.

Food is pretty good and very plentiful. Nice variety so it makes agood alternative.now on the downside service leaves something to be desired. My wife's bacon was overcooked to the point of being burned. We never saw our waitress again after she took our order andFood was delivered. No one ever offered a coffee refill-unforgivable at breakfast . The dining room is cramped and noisy. Outdoor seating is available if weather permits. Limited parking . Price is fair and comparable. Almost had to beg to get our bill.

We were passing through El Paso on our way to Dallas and needed to grab some food before continuing our journey from Arizona. Took a quick Yelp look before choosing this place. Arrived at noon and didn't get to leave until almost 1:30pm. If we wanted to sit inside it was going to be a 35 minute wait, so we opted for a 99 degree weather seat on the patio. Unlucky for us, our seat was the only one WITHOUT a umbrella covering and I had 3 kids with me. We are used to the heat, so we weren't deterred yet, but it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive and we ordered almost straight away. Our server was very pleasant, but didn't seem to be in a hurry at all. As the sun rose, almost all of us ate in the direct heat. I think if I wasn't dying of heat exhaustion being outside for so long, I would have given this 4 stars. Eat inside, if you have the time. We ordered the no brainer, monte cristo, Nutella stuffed French toast, sides of hash browns, scrambled eggs, sweet cinnamon bread and sweet potato waffle fries with cinnamon marshmallow dip. The food was a saving grace for this one room restaurant, and had it been swifter, I would have been happier to eat it and actually enjoy it instead of trying to beat the sun and race through it. The frustrating thing was the party next to us was done and had their ticket before we were even seated and were still there when we left. Rude! There was a long line to eat inside and we could have used the gosh dang umbrella table, people! If I were the manager, I would have kindly asked them to leave with so many people waiting, or at least insinuated such. The plate prices were a little steep for the amount of food, but you do get to choose any side of any price (1.50-6) with your dish. The side options made it possible to make up kids meals but still for around $5 each. The no brainer $10 was tasty and bread thick (open faced sandwich, one slice) skimpy on the veggies. I got it with the sweet potato fries and marshmallow cream (biggest, best surprise if the meal - I don't like either item by themselves in general, but this invention was working). The monte cristo $10 was yummy with what appeared to be higher quality meats than lunch meat and was good both with the spicy mustard and syrup. Got it with the sweet cinnamon bread side (not the smartest decision for value since it is normally only $1.50). Was small and simply a sopapilla. The Nutella French toast was yummy but a bit too sweet. Would maybe be better with a nuttier hazelnut butter or more strawberries to balance the taste. The hash brown portion was tiny for $2 but came with some interesting tasting ketchup (part BBQ taste part ketchup), the scrambled eggs, good sized for $1.50 each. My son ordered a serving of bacon and they kindly left off the black pepper as requested. I determinedly wanted to order desserts as several looked yummy, but we couldn't risk it with the time we had already wasted just waiting for the meal. Overall, food good, though not super on the portion side. Atmosphere - fix the umbrella people, it's 99 degrees outside! And go when you have lots of time to burn and can be leisurely about it. So many more things looked yummy on the menu, too.

We choose to celebrate our 1 year anniversary at a restaurant that'd we'd never been to, BIG mistake. I honestly couldn't have been more disappointed not only with the food, but by the attitude of our waiter. We ordered 2 burgers (black and blue and a chili bomber) and when our food came out, it was warm at most. The fries were cold and limp and had way too much seasoning and the cheese on my burger wasn't even melted. Our waiter seemed like he was bored and uninterested the whole time and he only came to our table a total of 3 times, after we got our food we didn't see him once. The hostess actually had to give us our ticket and thats when the real surprise came in, I paid $14.50 for a burger that was not even remotely delicious. I was so upset and regretted going there so bad! Save your money people and don't go to Crave!

Went for breakfast on a Saturday, arrived about 8:15AM. Was not crowded, lots of staff on hand and I feel we were served at a good pace, I can however see where some people say the wait staff are a bit slow or maybe not in a hurry. To me they were relaxed and seemed comfortable in their work environment. Place was clean, atmosphere was nice, food was delicious. B'fest for two with tip was $30 (I tip big). Would definitely go again and do recommend you give it a try if you're in the area.

Kind of a small place, but still a fun, friendly environment. I was really disappointed that they didn't serve breakfast all day, but the fish sandwich that I got was very good. The sweet potato waffle fries (ask for the marshmallow dipping sauce) were outstanding!

Really wanted this place to wow but it is such a disappointment. Started with the short line * 8 staff on the floor thought it would be awesome service. Nope. About 10 min later finally got a seat at the bar. 5 min later someone acknowledged our presence and the order was placed. A too long time later the orders were brought out. I had the Haystack - cold eggs and hash browns. Cmon. Do your heat lamps work in the kitchen!?!?! Bacon was good. (So hard to screw that up.). Sausage patty raw in the middle. Pancake side came out with cold syrup. Took another 5 min for hot syrup to show up. And no alcohol. Just beer wine. So the saving grace was the beer - good selection. Hurts to write such a slam but don't go here for the food.

This review is based on two sessions on crave... dessert and breakfast the following morning. Dessert offering were (a) Freshly baked chocolate chip cookie w/ scoop of gelto and (b) Bread pudding with creme. hmmm, the chocolate chip cookie kinda reminded me of Village Inn... it was undercooked and gooie inside. The bread pudding was okay, but not great or anything. I sort felt left down.. with only two options I wanted them to be great. Since the dessert was just okay, at best, I decided to go for breakfast (pre 12-noon) or brunch (12-noon to 5ish) the following morning. Arrived Sunday at 11:35 and after weaving past the BMWs we were told the kitchen was closed as it was prepping for brunch. Staff was nice enough to bring out some fry bread while we waited. We ended up ordering the eggs something or other and french toast with feta. Both were good... nothing fancy or out of this world, but good and a welcome change from the typical border options. CRAVE remind me of Tryst in DCexcept it is smaller and not exactly the same scene. Also lacks a DJ.. well, the food kinda reminds me of Tryst. TRYST: yelp.com/biz/t ryst-coffee-house-bar-and-lounge-washington Or maybe Toast in Chicago: yelp.com/biz/toast-two-c… I say go and enjoy it. Go often. Go so often that more places like this open and hopefully, even cost a little less. Oh yeah.. so every time I go the ratings go down..... boo.

The food is really tasty here and a nice change of pace to el paso. The Guinness cheese burger is incredible and they also have an incredible breakfast. The only minus is it's so small and you will be waiting for quite some time. Not too great with kiddos! A very tasty lunch! Also don't go there if there are more than 4 people.

Stopped in to Crave for lunch on a weekend. It is a small place so try to go on an off time, or get ready for a wait. We lucked out and got the last table, but I can imagine this place fills up quickly. Crave reminds me a lot of the restaurant Ripe as far as the restaurant concept and menu. The menu at Crave does seem to be more artisan than other places I have seen in El Paso. They have an eclectic menu, with options from fried chicken and waffles and green chili mac and cheese to tuna ceviche and bacon-wrapped shrimp. They have a large chalkboard inside the restaurant that lists daily specials, both food and drinks, some of which sounded very inventive. We had the grilled fish and seared ahi tuna sandwiches, and both were great (the aioli and wasabi mayo were nicely done). I recommend trying a sandwich as their breads are made locally and brought in fresh every day. Prices are normal for this quality/style of food, and per usual what spiked our bill was the beers (but they do have a nice selection on draught). The drink menu looks amazing, so I would like to go back for dinner and drinks and compare that to our lunch experience. Overall a nice place with good food, and somewhere I would check out again.

This place has a great menu and I really enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich and sauteed spinach. The only thing I did not like was that it was not a very large place so we were packed in kind of tight and the AC was close to arctic. I would eat here again though in a heartbeat.

Cozy atmosphere. Tiny place was packed on a wed night, which is saying a lot for a restaurant in El Paso. Chicken and waffles that the waiter raved about was blah, chicken was over fried. The sirloin tacos were decent. I'd probably come back, maybe just for some drinks.

This was our first visit to this restaurant after a few friends had recommended it. The place is very small, maybe seats about 30. We arrived on a Friday evening at around 5pm and there was no parking in front so we had to park up the hill on the street. Luckily, we were seated upon arrival. The wait staff was very attentive and my water glass was never really empty. My husband had the tenderloin tacos, which were good, but needed a little more seasoning and maybe extra squeezes of lime. In my opinion, tenderloin should not be used for tacos. It shouls be eaten as a steak, with a fork and knife. A good marinated flank steak would have sufficed, and probably would have costed a lot less than $25. He also had the sweet potato waffle fries. These were delicious when dipped in the cinnamon marshmallow fluff, tasted like a churro! I had the bacon-wrapped shrimp, green chile mac & cheese and side salad. All were very good, except for my first bite of shrimp. There is half a jalapeno stuffed in each one and was way too spicy. I've lived here for almost 10 years and have adapted to the heat, but this shrimp was an overkill. So I sat there and "de-veined" eat one to make them milder. Dessert - You're better off passing on this. I love dessert so we ordered 2 different ones, nutella crepes w/caramel and pecans and pumpkin bread pudding. I ordered a side of vanilla ice cream to cut the richness of the crepes. Pumpkin bread pudding - gross. I had no flavor or sweetness. It came out it two HUGE pieces - obviously because no one else was ordering it - with some cinnamon sauce. The sauce couldn't even help the fact that it had no flavor at all. The crepes we OK but were doused in brandy and just ruined the flavor. Sure if you're an "alkie" you might really like this dessert. But if you're not into taking shots of hard liquor, don't order this dessert. Unfortunately, the only dessert that tasted good was the vanilla ice cream, most likely scooped out of a Breyers carton. Overall, I might go back for lunch with a friend and definitely skip dessert.

the atmosphere is cool. Silverware hangs on twine hung from the ceiling and the menu is written in colorful chalk covering a full wall. the food is good. not earth shattering but good. i had a salad and waffle sweet potato fries which i dipped in their stout sauce (like a bbq). it was pretty yummy. the downside is that it's uncomfortably small. the tables are tightly packed and to get in and out you have to have cirque du soleil dexterity.

I like the food. i LOVE the salad with the sashimi. However, I have been VERY disappointed with the service lately. Today I had a friend visiting from out of town and we went there for brunch. We got there at 11:15 a.m. and put our names down. After waiting for TWENTY minutes we are told that even if we get a table soon the kitchen will be CLOSED until noon. No apology for waiting to tell us this until after we waited for 20 minutes. Horrible customer service. I think Crave is getting to lax in the fact that it has found a niche. I personally will be supporting Ripe and Geo for my brunches.

My yelp friend StanL gave this a 2.5 and I totally agree. The food is actually pretty good and I like the atmosphere including the giant chalk board. But the waiters dress like they are changing the oil in your car, are clueless as to the food ("it has, like, cheese on it"), and please, if I am going to pay over $100 for two people dont call us "GUYS", this isn't Chili's!

Excellent food and large portions .. had the spicy burger, forgot the name.... lots of jalapenos and spices, wife had fish sandwich, which was good - but as a general recommendation - stay away from seafood in El Paso .... we are a long way from the salt water! small place, nice beer menu - will go back.

We have eaten breakfast twice in past 6 months or so and really like the food--yes, the place is very small and patrons are packed in tightly, but we were seated immediately the first time and told we'd wait 15 minutes for a table the second time (or could be seated immediately at the bar--score!). The breakfast menu offers a wide selection. We picked the basics, blueberry pancakes, egg dishes, fruit, and found everything to be very fresh and well-prepared. For the quality of food, it's a great value--no complaints about the service.

First and last time there. Fritters for appetizer. Forgetable squares of dough that are deep fried. Meh I ordered the French Toast. Simple enough. It was really poorly done. It is difficult to understand how such a simple concept could go so terribly awry. When cut open you could see that the cook did not soak the bread to give it that warm mushy inside. It was clearly dipped as it was moved from prep to griddle. The batter might have penetrated the bread about an eigth of an inch. My full order never actually made it to the table.

I visited Crave during my recent visit to El Paso mainly because of the reviews I've read about here. From my experience, I'd like to say that it's a little over rated. Yes it's on Cincinnati St., yes it's modern and trendy and yes the margarita I had was delicious, but the food..the food was not as good as I expected. My friend and I first ordered the shrimp ceviche to share because I was really craving ceviche for some reason. We were served a whole shrimp with some sauce on top and the shrimp was warm. I don't like warm shrimp/ceviche and if I wanted the whole shrimp I would have ordered shrimp cocktail. I did however like the sauce that was poured over the shrimp so for that reason I ate my half. I wasn't too hungry so I decided I would just try the tomato basil soup with a side of sweet potato fries. The soup was so so a little too thick for my taste and the crostini on the side would have been better if the cheese was different. I have had bad experiences with goat cheese and I don't enjoy the flavor at all. The sweet potato fries were a little cold and not seasoned properly in my opinion. Needless to say, I only ate half of my bowl of soup and a few of the fries. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the service was good so for that It gets an extra star.

Went for weekend brunch and tried the whole wheat pancakes, bacon, berries, biscuits and jalapeno sausage gravy, cinnamon fry bread, ginger lemonade, coffee, and OJ. The pancakes were gigantic...it was like a three layer cake on my plate. I ate off them for two days. The cinnamon butter was excellent but the syrup was just sweet...not maple-y. The bacon and berries had excellent flavor. The biscuits and gravy were amazing...good biscuits, generous sausage, and the jalapeno made it magical. The cinnamon fry bread is smallish and sticky sweet over the flaky fried texture...a really good dessert. Ginger lemonade, coffee, and oj were ok but not special. Highly recommended for brunch, but get there early as it's small and was packed by 9am.

This is as good as you are going to get in el paso. the food is inventive, the service is good, waiters milling about with pitchers of mimosa, cool atmosphere in a quaint modern restaurant. and they serve brunch! which in moving from the east coast to here is sorely lacking in most western cities. come and get some people!

great food, especially salads with seared ahi. they do it right. also, the turkey, bacon, brie is a marvelous and sinful sandwich. be ready to wait, however, as this tiny cafe gets super busy. also, the brunch menu is inventive and extensive and something i will try soon.

Ok, so they're killin' it over at Crave. The tenderloin tacos... I mean seriously. Crazy fresh and crazy delicious. Best taco I ever had in my life. We also had the bacon wrapped shrimp and the ahi tuna. Awesome! She had the fried chicken and waffles. That waffle was the best damn waffle I have ever had. They put almond extract in it so it has this wonderful nutty, vanilla like flavor and aroma to it. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly and was soooo juicy. We we're losing our minds. The pumpkin spiced creme brulee was good, but it's obvious that it was prepared in advanced because the temperature wasn't consistent. Part of it was warm and part of it was cool/cold, but either way it was dynamite. This is one of the few trendy, classy, taking cuisine to better heights type restaurants in El Paso. I think everyone needs to check it out. The prices were borderline high for location/cuisine, but I think everything was so good that they were pretty much fair. I highly recommend it.

The restaurant is a small place that has way too many employees. Customer service was too slow for the 7 waiters that it employs. I ordered the black and blue burger and could not get half way thru it. The burger was not prepared correctly for the blue cheese overpowered the meat. The meat was bland. Condiments have to be asked for and the wait for them is over 15 minutes long. The chicken salad sandwich tasted like tuna. The beer selection is good but the price for them is outlandish even for Cincinnati Street. By the time I was half way thru my beer I had been asked two times to try some other beer. I tried water to kill the blue cheese taste but was not successful. My taste buds were shot for the rest of the evening. I do not recommend this place for either the food or the beer. Walk south a block or two for better meals and deals.

Up until now, I would have had good reviews. The food and service have been good. But tonight, the hostess/server staff was different than I usually see. No complaints about those behind the bar. Usual wait times are long for the tiny eatery, but are usually not a bother since you can drink and mingle. This process becomes annoying when certain hostesses let in people ahead of you because they have a "reservation" (friends). Sure they do. More frustrating when you call the number seconds later to ask if they take reservations and they tell you they don't. The food is good, but with hospitality like this, it makes it easy to take your business elsewhere.

i LOVED crave- the ideal mixture of modernity and old-fashioned comfort food. sleek decor with bright colors, large windows & a casually dressed staff almost make up for the miniscule dining space, which they also try to disguise by dedicating a wall in the entrance to a full-sized mirror. despite its being packed and relying on a quick turnover rate to seat as many diners as possible, the environment manages to convey a hint of leisure. for example, many of the parties i saw were sharing a bottle of wine- NOT typically the sign of an eat-and-go lunch. i ordered the sea bass sandwich with alioli (delicious!) and my friend got the salmon sandwich. we chose to each order a different side (asparagus & sweet potato fries, respectively) in order to share. in retrospect, the salad may have been a better side to split because we were only able to have three (not hearty) asparagus each. the company i went with also highly enjoyed their dishes, which included the glazed fried chicken & waffles. the artichoke/jalepeno dip was delicious, as were the homemade chip that accompany it. all in all, i cannot wait to go back and try more!

great food. great beer. the seared tuna and cheese plates are great. i would give it 5 stars but they dont take reservations. a big no no in my book. so if you want to have a fun friday night dinner, Dont go here. You'll be waiting outside for 45 minutes. but if you have a tuesday night open...then i highly recommend.

Great atmosphere, food is tasty, and the unlimited mimosas on Sundays are fantastic. Would not order the chicken and waffles again. If you have ever had real chicken in waffles in Georgia or New York, than Crave's c&w are awful. They use skinless chicken and to compensate use a thick batter, that does not fry up anywhere near crispy. Order a sandwich or salad, much better fare.

Delicious! My partner and I are from out of town, and we've been in El Paso for several weeks. We're vegetarians, and it's hard to find good meatless food in west Texas! We were pleasantly surprised to find such a great restaurant in El Paso. We liked it so much that we've been back two more times in the past week. The food at Crave is delicious, the atmosphere and modern and clean, and the beer list offers an extensive list of microbrews. The service is very friendly (although I must note that each time we've gone in, the restaurant seems very overstaffed. A lot employees just standing around...). One minor negativen note - several different dishes (ahi tuna sandwhich, salad with ahi tuna) were way too salty both times we went in. Might be worth asking the waiter to have the cooks go easy on the salt. Otherwise, the food is fantastic! I highly recommend it overall.

This place only serves brunch on Sundays! I called on a Saturday and asked when they serve brunch and I was told "noon to 6pm." Why didn't they tell me that it's only served on Sundays??? I was very disappointed to find that out only after sitting down. Nonetheless, I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken and waffles, which came with two sides. I opted for the side salad and green chile mac and cheese. The side salad was actually a pretty good size and it was good. The green chile mac and cheese was inventive and quite good, as well. Onto the main dish. Now, I'm a big fan of Roscoe's Chicken N' Waffles in Los Angeles, and that's the only place where I've eaten it all these years. I did not expect CRAVE to measure up to that, but I was not prepared for how bad it was. Actually, the presentation was pretty nice. The waffle was slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, without being too thin or too thick. But the good thing ends there. The waffle was pretty flavorless, except for its sweetness that I wasn't sure if it came from the batter or the syrup. It was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. Next, onto the chicken. It sure looked good. Again, presentation was nice. It was two large pieces of chicken. The coating was golden brown and was fried just right. BUT THEY WERE TWO PIECES OF SKINLESS, BONELESS CHICKEN BREASTS. Great, so it's healthier than chicken thighs or drumstick. But anyone who knows anything about cooking would know that the bone and skin gives the meat tremendous flavor and keep the meat moist. So even if you are frying chicken breast, why would you leave the skin and bone out???? And even if you're on a healthy kick, you should leave the bones in! Besides, neither the batter coating nor the chicken breasts tasted seasoned AT ALL! It was the blandest, most flavorless chicken I have ever had! CRAVE, either leave the skin and bone in (if you don't want the skin, it would fall apart easily after being deep fried, anyway), or just fry chicken thighs. And fried chicken needs to be seasoned! Or better yet, just drop this dish, because it's horribly prepared and executed. I might come back again but only for the brunch menu, and it would certainly not be my first choice.

We stopped here on the way to Dallas from California and needed a quick stop. The food was great. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast. It was deep fried deliciousness. Our server, Nick was also great. We were a bit skeptical because everything we asked for he said was good, but he was right. He's very knowledgeable of the menu. The restaurant itself was a little cozy spot with a slightly dive bar feel. Would I come here again? Sure.

Awesome little place! And when I say 'little', man, I mean LITTLE. I would avoid this place on a busy Saturday or Friday dinnertime, but perfect place for mid-week dinner, lunch or breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, they have some delicious breakfast food! I would say all of the scrambles are yum yum yummm. Don't judge me, but they serve alcohol during breakfast hours. My favorite dish has to be Chicken & Waffles with Green Chile Mac 'n Cheese and Sweet Potato Waffle Fries with a side of Marshmallow Cinnamon dipping sauce. The half order is only $12 with choice of 2 sides, and it will get you stuffed. The burgers are ginormous and full of flavor. Sandwiches are delicious, too! I thought the Mahi Mahi sandwich was a little bland, but the fish is very fresh and oh-so-soft. It's a lighter choice, but I'm a hungry hungry fat girl, so I would stick to the higher calorie foods. *wink*

I came into to crave on a Tuesday afternoon to get out of the hot sun and avoid I-10 traffic. My sister an I were greeted by the most warm and friendly staff. Desi and Mariana made us feel at home and were very knowledgable about the beer and wine selections. Josh suggested the artichoke dip which was a hit for the whole table. Wonderful food and above par staff. I would recommend this spot to anyone.

The chicken biscuit sandwich leads me to believe that the chef must be an insane villain from another dimension. It is diabolical. It shouldn't exist but luckily for us it does. Let us pray that he or she sticks to cooking and doesn't build a death ray or something.

I'm sat outside at a high top table. Terrible experience. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable, the table had ants crawling all over it. When I asked for a wet rag to wipe them off, Not only did I get the feeling that it was a normal situation for that table, she never brought the rag out for me. Ended up using my napkin. They asked how I wanted my burger cooked. I said medium. It came out burnt. It wasn't very good at all. I got asparagus as a side, I got 5 and they weren't very good at all. I asked for a beer, she brought 2 other drinks out and forgot mine. Overall, worst place I've been to in El Paso over this past month.

Meh. I think this place is overhyped but for some reason I keep coming back. Depending on the time of day, you could be waiting awhile for a place to sit. Parking is also something you have to keep in mind because this part of El Paso can get pretty popular. I've had the tomato soup, because I love tomato soup... But this soup was way too salty. The consistency was nice and thick, not your conventional tomato soup... But no. Just don't do it. I've also had their steak breakfast burrito. Driest dish in all of El Paso. Flavors were bland and not appealing to look at. They spread some tortillas on a plate and just dump the insides of the burrito on top. Why?! I do believe this is a place you visit if you want to drink alcohol for breakfast in a socially acceptable venue. So I'll give it that much.

Cute place. Reminds me of the small restaurants back in San Diego, CA. Food was good. Boyfriend loves this place and would probably rate it a 5-star. The food was definitely large enough for me since I do not eat too much but I don't think it's that large for the price. Otherwise I would recommend to try it out at least once.

This place is amazing. One of the best restaurants in town. Great for brunch, lunch and dinner. My favorite dish for dinner was the ahi tuna. Delicious. The green chile mac-and-cheese is the ultimate comfort food, highly recommend. Chicken and waffles is always a big hit. Loved the nutella crepes, too. You really can't go wrong at this place. Best restaurant in El Paso hands down. Amazing breakfast. The food is no more expensive than IHOP and way way better. The music isn't too loud or annoying, the waitstaff are chill and relaxed and on point, and the seating is comfortable but not crowded, and the decor is catchy without being cluttery or distracting.

I mainly blog about local San Antonio cuisine but Crave, in El Paso, deserves a plug for sure! My hubby, Alex, took me to Crave for an early Valentine's Day breakfast. The restaurant is tiny but is the epitomy of the word "quaint". At 8 am on a Wed., every one of the 10 tables was full. The service was good and the food was almost inexplicable (notice I said almost!) The back wall is a huge chalkboard with their very unique menu written on it. The stools at the bar were wide, curved to fit your seat and were made of leather. Nice selection of teas and the coffee was good too. I couldn't decide what to order but, because I am an eggs benedict fanatic, I went with the Eggs Blackstone. This was the perfect choice for me. The lightly toasted English muffin had a slice of grilled Black Forest ham and 2 perfectly poached eggs on top. It was then covered in a spicy, tomato hollandaise sauce that was amazing! I am very picky about my poached eggs and will send them back if they are even slightly over/undercooked. It definitely was not a problem today and Alan (one of the chefs) is the egg master! My hubby chose the biscuits with green chile gravy (which also had poached eggs on top). I have never tasted gravy like this before. It had my taste buds dancing! We couldn't get away without having 2 orders of the peppered bacon that was done to perfection. I couldn't get a tour of the kitchen because of health regulations, but I did get a photo with the chefs, who were very nice, and a little confused as to why this was a special thing for me. If you are in El Paso, don't miss Crave! I may go back for lunch!

I was in El Paso this weekend and I wanted to try some of the different watering holes and dining options that the city has to offer. This was my last stop and I'm disappointed that it ended on such a low note before my departure back to Austin. I was excited to try this place because of all the great reviews on Yelp. The reason I am not giving it 1 star is because the food was really good. I had the Egg Sammy, my friend had the Hay Stack breakfast and her children had the pancakes and Belgian waffles. The food was really good and on par with the more bigger cities in Texas like Austin, Houston and Dallas. It's hard to find good food like this in El Paso. The reason I gave it 2 stars was because the service was terrible. We were sat right away since we beat the lunch crowd by about 10 minutes. However, our server was very inattentive and acted as if he were being intruded upon once the lunch crowd came in. Not once did I get a refill on my drink and I had to ask another server to attend to our needs. Our server kept going around our table and serving other patrons who were sitting right next to us all the while we were being ignored. He came to our table 3 times the entire visit: the first time to sit us down and take our order, the 2nd time to give us the check and the 3rd time to return the check. I think this place would get better ratings if they can just work on their customer service.

Can't go wrong with Crave any time of day. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus will not disappoint you. You can always count on your food to be served at the right temp and taste. The wait can be long, but always worth it. The location on the westside is very tight with seating, but good nonetheless.

I like this place. They can cook. It's a tight fit in the restaurant, but the food is always solid, and at times great. And the portions are ample. Most of the things that I have had, I have liked. The biscuits and gravy are a great go-to for something hearty on the weekends. The gravy is tasty - chunks of sausage and green chiles throughout. And you get a couple nice sized sausage patties, and 2 eggs. Totally indulgent, and a nice plate of food for $10. The pancake dishes are basically all good. I particularly like the blueberry pancakes, which have a nice spread of lemon curd on top. The burgers are good - I particularly like the Whole Hog burger. Meat on meat on meat? Works for me. The brick-baked chicken is a fine meal, as well, and has become my go-to dinner. Almost always tender, with crispy skin. And the sauce is nice (probably some butter, white wine, and the chicken drippings, if I had to guess). The soups are good, and a reasonably generous portion for $5. The turkey and white bean chili comes with a biscuit with honey and butter, and is my preferred way to start off a dinner. The appetizers are generally solid, but a bit pricier than the entrees, in terms of the amount of food that you get. The side dishes are generally tasty. The mac and cheese is pretty decent. I like the spaghetti squash dish (butter, thyme, chopped nuts, dried cranberries), as well. And having asparagus, beets, or brussels as a side is always a nice option. For the most part, they can cook. There are a couple missteps which are particularly surprising since they do things so well, in general. The chicken fried steak may not be to everyone's liking - basically, think deep-fried hamburger patties, instead of pounded out round steak. Reasonably tasty, but different than the traditional dish. The chicken and waffles are OK, but not really conceptualized as a dish. It is literally deep-fried boneless chicken breast, on top of a waffle. Which is fine if you are at a Waffle House, and get chicken fingers and a waffle, and are OK with putting fake maple syrup and Tobasco on everything. But at $14, I'd like to see a dish that is composed. Some sort of a sauce that tied the sweet and spicy elements together. A little slaw, perhaps that works together. And my preference is always chicken on the bone. For this dish, basically, when the chicken comes out great, the dish is good enough. When the chicken comes out dry (which does happen from time to time), the dish becomes really disappointing. And I have been shying away from dessert - the last couple times, the desserts have been so-so. And at $7 each, it's not exactly a cheap option. A couple of the old stand-bys are nice for groups. The Barely Baked Cookie is tasty, although not exactly creative anymore. The Pot Brownie was gigantic, and reasonable, but not spectacular (more puffy cake than fudgy brownie, for my tastes). But both are good choices for feeding the masses. The biggest misstep was with the pudding jar. Gigantic portion, but the pudding itself was way, way too firm. Literally, you could bounce a spoon off of it. Not an enjoyable texture. And even worse, they didn't strain the custard mix, before it set. There were large chunks of what appeared to be clove, that were still in the custard. Sort of a bummer. That dish should not have been on the menu, the way it was done. This was a couple months ago, and I've been avoiding dessert at Crave since then. The comparison should be the salted caramel custard over at Block, which is a much smaller portion at $5 (versus $7), but always some out smooth and delicious. What I really like to finish off a meal is to order a short-stack of blueberry pancakes at brunch. A much more reasonably priced ($3) way for a sweet option at the end of the meal.

There are two Craves in El Paso, one on the East (which seems to be the popular one), and this one on the West side. Between the two of them, the West location is my favorite. It's much smaller than the East location, but that's not a bad thing. Seating may be an issue if you have a large group, but if you're looking for an intimate and cozy atmosphere, then this is the spot. The food is amazing at both locations, so there's no need to differentiate there. The burgers are fantastic and creative. The beer selection is robust as well. The service at this location is great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a place to eat with your buddies, I'd suggest the East location. However, if you're on a date or flying solo and just want a cool place to chill and have some chow, then the West location is the place to visit.

Was excited about going to breakfast here based on the Yelp reviews... But was highly disappointed. I ordered the Haystack which wasn't anything special.. No different from what I could order at a roadside diner. The service was slow... The staff spend more time fixing their hair and makeup. Thankfully I didn't have the queue to get a seat!

Meh, it's just not good in here. Dry burgers and way too salty fries. Sick to the wine and beer, that's it. There is much better restaurants in the area. Try Rulis instead. Now that is a good joint!

Don't think I will be returning..... The service I received was beyond horrible... I even sat at the bar and that did not help.... Ignored most of the time... Ordered a soup that came out tepid.. Just started to eat it when my burger came out... None of the servers seemed happy which made for an unpleasant eating experience...Totally disappointing because their crave burger is good.....

The service is flakey and they are not straight forward with the orders. The couple if times we've been here they have forgotten things on our order. Their fries are typically burnt and you can't tell there is potato in there. So many better burger places out there. PS The manager is horrible at resolving issues.

Awful!!! This is my very first review. Although I've used yelp for a couple years now, I've never felt compelled to write a review until this disastrous experience. First off, my husband, 18 yr old son and I went to crave at 5:15 to grab a very quick bite to eat. We hate doing that to restaurants closing but we were starving! (They close at 6pm on Sundays). We ordered the tuna ceviche to start. They were all out of tuna. That meant no tuna sandwich for my son either. Jumped to the sweet potato fries. Of course they were good, especially with the marshmallow dip. We didn't have to wait long for our food. I got the crave burger which was just okay with the house salad which was very good (hence the one star). The server had an attitude of "how dare you come in near closing" so it made us feel bad and uncomfortable. Hubby had the ribeye sandy with the corn. Corn was good. Sandwich was cold and sweet. One of the employees started sweeping the rug on the ramp behind us which is real disgusting when trying to eat. I looked up and saw all these particles floating onto our table, drinks and food. Son said the mahi mahi sandy was great and the Mac was delicious. He ordered a coke with his meal. It was flat. Ordered a sprite, flat too. I asked our server if there was ice in the ice bin where the sodas are connected to and he didn't understand. I explained the soda was flat again and asked if it was because the metal plate in the ice bin wasn't covered in ice. I later found out from the manager that in fact there wasn't any ice in the bin. Which is totally fine, but the server should have told us they broke the soda machine down instead of giving us two flat sodas. Before I spoke to the manager, the server went to him and another employee to talk about what happened all within my eye and ear shot and starts laughing about it!! That's when I stormed up to the manager and told him how upset I was about our experience. He took off the coke from the bill, I paid, didn't tip (for the second time my whole life) and we left to never go back. I am so disappointed that I wanted my husband to try this place, especially for the tuna ceviche (my favorite item). Oh well. He and I will never be back.

Food was great, service was okay, but the one near Utep is ridiculously small be ready to bump elbows with people. I really loved their ceviche & seared ahi sandwich nom nom nom!!!

Potentially good food based on what other reviewers have written. Gotta try more. The chicken and waffles was m'kay... large Belgian waffle with two or one fried chicken breast. Bread, bread, bread... somebody has got to criticize the portion control. Even if I had ordered the half (one chicken) it would have been overwhelming. I'm sure it would've been much tastier if I hadn't mowed down a bag of sunflower seeds the day before. That one's on me. I'll try this one again. Service is not amazing but they are friendly enough if you step up and ask. You can tell they're focused on other things rather than customer service but kids will be kids. Not too packed for a Sunday morning from 0900-1030ish and cozy for a single at the bar. Give it a try and focus on the food.

I'm a big fan of the Crave Burger and an even BIGGER fan of the green chile mac & cheese. I wish I could review based on other items, but I've only deviated once and that was to order another type of burger (turns out I can't stand blue cheese). Somebody described this place as "cozy," the only way you can consider Crave "cozy" is if you live in a shoe. It is below tiny, its minuscule, though the outside tables do help, but yikes, factor in the crowds and you'll be dining on top of others, well that is if you find parking of course. Still think the food is great, but I'd recommend going to the eastside location as that one is a bit larger and more comfortable.

I was visiting El Paso with my wife and we were recommended this place from a few people. Went in for lunch on a weekday. No wait at all. The food was amazing! The place is small, but the mirrors everywhere make it seem larger and the beer selection is amazing!

I took a date there one time and I had ordered a steak and my date ordered the chicken and waffles. When asked how I wanted my steak cooked I said "Medium." Our food came out and my steak was as flat as a milanesa steak. It had been pounded down as thin as possible. I told the waitress that this was a mistake and asked to get another steak. The waitress went to the back and returned after a few minutes and stated that the chef said "That's how we cook a medium steak." I insisted that she get me another steak politely and after a good 10 min or so she came back with a steak of the appropriate size but only this time it was rare as rare could be. I knew this was a dare on the chefs part so I went ahead and ate it anyways. I paid for my meal and left a good tip because it wasn't the waitress' fault the chef doesn't know what a Medium temp steak is supposed to look like. That was the first and last time I will ever go to this restaurant. I think people are just in love with the idea more than the food. It's a status symbol that I can live without. Never again.

Order the chili Mac and cheese! It's amazing! Also, the Cesar salad is surprisingly pretty good!

Very tasty food. Service was a little bit slow, but that's expected in a more trendy locale. The salad was amazing. I know it sounds silly to be this excited over a side salad but it was so good and really had a lot of personality for a little side salad. I loved that they offered flavored waters and had a pretty decent beer selection. I loved the decor in this place. Great modern industrial feel. Definitely a younger atmosphere than a lot of places on the East side. I would love to come back for the brunch some weekend. There was a live band on the patio the night we were there, and live music is always a draw for me :)

The food is good and decently priced. But the service sucks we went for breakfast after waiting nearly a hour and seeing 3 other tables get food that got seated after us we ended up walking out still hungry :(

Arrived at the restaurant at 4:00 on a Sunday and when we walked in the waitress told us the kitchen was closed... Perhaps they should list that they close at 4 on Sundays instead of 6:00.

I was passing through town on my way across the country and found this little gem on Yelp. Absolutely fantastic food. I never would've found this place if it wasn't for yelp. It's on the corner of two urban streets and doesn't do much to advertise itself. It's a pretty small place with limited seating. But it's well lit, has a good atmosphere, a great bar, and a of course the food is outstanding.

breakfast, lunch or dinner it's always a great time with idea atmosphere and ice cold drinks to carry on the great times!!! Appetizers are the bomb! and Burgers all are great must-try's ! Of course you can not leave without trying the macNcheese at this place listed as a side portion but its taste you will remember!

Best burgers in EP, hands down! My personal fav is the Chili Bomber Burger w/ a side of green chili Mac & Cheese. If you order my fav, make sure that you like it spicy! The ONLY reason my review is not 5 stars is because wait time is horrible. :(

Although the seating is tiny and limited, there is no better place for good new age american food in El Paso. Breakfast is by far my personal favorite. All their dishes are fresh and never disappoint. If you're on the Eastside, check out their location over there. Same great place but more seating.

The sound was so loud early in the morning on Sunday when I was there for breakfast that simple conversation was a struggle. Then the service we received for breakfast was less than stellar to say the least. The worst part of it all was when I ordered Nutella stuffed french toast and received my french toast stuffed with CREAM CHEESE!!!! Not Nutella. When asked the waitress had nothing to say at all. As I was waiting for the check and a fast exit from this place with terrible service and fuming about my order I overheard another waitress tell a nearby table that they were out of Nutella. I will never go back here again. I cannot believe that a restaurant could run out of Nutella within 30 minutes of opening, but what was worst of all is that our waitress couldn't communicate it to me and the kitchen staff had the gall to stuff my food with cream cheese. Never again will i venture into this establishment.

FIrst time going there and I knew it was gonna be really good. Small cafe-looking places always have big surprises! Reviews from other people were absolutely correct. But here's my take: - MUST ORDER green chile mac & cheese!!! May sound weird, but weird is good and not boring. FULL of flavor!! Rare when it comes to mac & cheeses from other places. -Sweet and Hot Cucumber Salad is very refreshing, sweet, and tangy. Cucumbers were crunchy to the bite! Really good. Recommend this if you want a bit of veggies to munch on! -As an appetizer, my family and I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. Also a MUST ORDER!! This was the best thing we've ordered....Sauce was amazing and the shrimp with the bacon was CRAZY. LOVIN IT. GET IT. - Main course I ordered: Waffles with chicken. EH. The only downside. Really not that good to me..I thought the texture was dry...esp from the chicken...I thought I was eating shredded paper. No do not order this. As for service...because it's crowded and customers like to sit and chat...wait was longer than estimated by the host. 20 minutes turned into like 30. and boy we were hungry. Overall...I def go here again. :)

Great breakfast with a quaint atmosphere. If you are visiting EP, this is a great place to start the day. Chipotle hollandaise sauce, brown sugar encrusted bacon, and pancakes that are unlike any I have ever tried. Definitely the local flavor that el pasoans can brag about.

In town for the music festival and wanted a good burger. It's a great looking restuarant when you walk in, and great music. Service wasn't great otherwise I would of given 5 stars. We waited quite a while for our burgers but the food was definitely worth the wait! More attentive servers would make a big difference. Definitely would come back for the food alone.

We went for breakfast and were surprised at the serving sizes compared to the price. We STILL have leftovers in the fridge from yesterday's breakfast!!! Only downfall I would say is that they serve u with a small cup of syrup compared to these giant pancakes and you have to as for a lot!

Dined here finally today -- it's been a long time coming! I travel to El Paso frequently for work, and keep reading the great reviews for this place. Saying -- sometime I will go check it out. Well, today was that day. The other reviews have stated how small this place is, so it was perfect for me to visit today at around 3pm. Yup, it is a smaller cafe -- I suppose for El Paso standards. It was beautiful though today, and they had about 5 or 6 tables also outside. As a solo diner, I dined at the bar. Service was alright. I did basically have everyone's attention since it was pretty quiet. But... no margarita's here (except for a Pomegranite Margarita). I hear that they do put tequila in it, but it's like a boxed-marg mix. Hmmm... so I went with the Sangria. Which was very tasty! There were blueberries inside... yumm! Entree - - had a hard time deciding, but I went with the Mahi Mahi Po Boy sandwich with those highly desirable waffle sweet potato fries w/ the marshmallow sweet cinnamon sauce. Yummm.... loved those! The sandwich was meh. I didn't care for the bread, and I think I know better than to order fish in El Paso. I shoulda gone for the burger or the whole hog. They have their own chipotle ketchup for the fries. That was different... kinda cool. But I really liked that marshmallow cinnamon sauce. They have smaller tables inside --so I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a group. Probably best just solo dining or for two. Quite an extensive beer menu.

My fiancé and I are on a uber long road trip and attempting to hit up unique eats at every stop. We very much enjoyed the experience. Service was quick and friendly, outside seating was clean and the food was fun, orignal, fresh and tasty. High quality ingredients justify most of the cost though the seared ahi tuna sandwich was a few dollars higher that it should have been, also I was a bit disappointed in the nano cucumber salad's portion. Back to the positives, the orgy of pineapple, wasabi and such with the tuna was rad. The lady had the chicken (no bones +5 points!) and waffles with the Mac and cheese (a must) and the sweet potato fries, also a winner. So, great service, unique experience and food, wide beer selection and a swell atmosphere make for a great package... Just plan on dropping a few extra dollars than you'd expect.

everything in texas is big. typical menu options for this part of the country with burgers, fries, steaks, breakfast options. the corn cup was too tangy. crave chicken sandwich with a bbq sauce. the shaved ribeye sandwich was tastier with red pepper pesto and caramelized onions. spicy and sweet.

Love this place. The breakfast is awesome. Make sure you go early you will have to wait between 30-45 minutes to be seated. So don't go if you can not wait. I love the food and the service I think it is worth the wait.

We were driving from California to Texas and my husband was scouring yelp for a good restaurant to try while in El Paso. He found this place. At first, we walked in and it was small, more like a bar and the only available table was one of those high tables with bar stool type chairs. It isn't kid friendly seating, but I didn't want to wait for a regular table. So we sat down and made it work. It ended up being just fine. The wait staff was a little slow at first, but it didn't bother us. They were friendly and professional. The music was really hip and had good beats. The décor was amusing. I ordered a roast chicken dish with brussel sprouts and macaroni and cheese. It was early dinnertime. I can't remember what my husband ordered. The food came and I tried the mac and cheese first. It had peppers in it, maybe poblano. Anyway, it was the best darn mac and cheese I've ever had then or since. It was creamy, not spicy, just a really good hybrid of cheese and peppers. It's been almost a year and I still remember how it tasted. The brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious. I make Julia Child and Ina Garten recipes for brussel sprouts and these were on par with those. The chicken was like a party in my mouth. Absolutely fantastic. It tasted like it was slow roasted for hours, perfect seasoning. I could hardly believe how everything was amazing. My husband liked his food, but I can hardly remember his reaction because mine was so strong, in a very good way. After every mouthful, I was like, "oh my gosh, this is so good". If we ever go back to El Paso, this is the only restaurant I will eat at. It was such a lark to find it and I'm so glad we did. My husband and I still talk about this place.."remember that restaurant in El Paso...oh my gosh it was amazing!".

I'm from out of town and was recommended by a local to try this place out. Best decision ever! I'm usually not a big fan of american food (burgers & steaks) but this has changed my perception on how good it CAN be. The green chili mac and cheese was amazing, coolest take on a traditional dish. The steak was just as great, medium rare and full of flavor. The chili bomber burger was very flavorful, the sweet potato waffle fries and tomato basil soup were really good too. The also love the ambiance and the service was great. Really enjoyed this place.

Came here for brunch: I had the veggie omelet which was alright and my friend got the nutella waffles. She was excited about them but they arrived they were very very stingy with the nutella.... They should just be called waffles. Other times I've been here ive had the cookie dessert ... It hasn't failed us yet!

We spent a night in El Paso on a cross-country road trip and wanted to eat something besides Mexican food or steak. A little time on Yelp led us to Crave, and boy were we glad! Where to start? Robert the server was a gem but more about him later. Whole hog burger: a gooey, meaty pile of oomphy goodness (but it stayed intact). Rib-eye: Cooked to my perfect medium rare, with just the right amount of char. Green chile mac & cheese: almost a cliche in these parts but this is the real deal. Soft and cheesy and chile-y Borunda corn cup: simply a bowl of corn kernels with Louisiana-style hot sauce mixed in and some parmesan on top. It made my head sweat, which is a good thing. The wine list is short, and we had to make a couple of tries to find something they weren't out of. (Three sparkling wines on the list, but they happened only to have Dom that night. Go figure!) A neat feature is that you can take any bottle with you for half off the menu price. Since we were heading back to the hotel it was just the thing for us. Unfortunately, though, we didn't have a corkscrew with us. "Take mine," Robert offered. No, we couldn't. "Sure! I'm off the next few days and I can get another one." Nooo.... "Yes! It's how I treat all my customers." Can you believe that? (We mailed his nice waiter's key back after we got home to California.) What a place! Oh - the noise. It's not the restaurant's fault but the folks at three tables all seemed to know each other and carried on long, loud conversations over our heads and across our table. Seems they could have moved to be closer to each other. Anyway, Crave didn't do anything wrong but beware ill-mannered people if you're looking for intimacy.

First time to crave- had some time in between visiting my customers for work and decided to try this place out. Upon entering, I was impressed by the vibe and atmosphere-very metro. Love the chalkboard menu on the wall. Came in a little too early for lunch, which gave me time to decide and make some phone calls for work with a cup of coffee and cinnamon fry bread to snack on. The fry bread was delightful! It came out drizzled in honey and was tasty. For lunch, I decided to order the house salad with a seared ahi tuna steak. The dressing was a lemon-thyme which comes served on the side and soy-garlic sauce on the side for the tuna. A great, light salad with fresh greens, walnuts and cranberries. I am overall very impressed with this place-definitely a place I'm not used to seeing in El Paso, but I'm pleasantly finding El Paso is attracting some very good chefs out this way.....

We had a good meal here last Saturday, but cannot get over the restaurant's horrible first impression. As we walked in, there were three employees sitting outside, in front of the restaurant, a young woman and two men. The girl was crying, talking about how overwhelmed she was. We tried to get a table inside, but there was a twenty minute wait so we had to sit outside, next to the restaurant employees' table. We literally could not believe their conversation. The manager was reprimanding the girl for not pulling her weight and the girl said she had BREAST CANCER and was undergoing chemotherapy, not being as strong as she once was. Throughout this conversation, the manager said that he was sorry "that life gave her a shitty hand" and told her to go home and drink a beer! It was completely unprofessional for this conversation to take place outside of the restaurant right next to customers. Furthermore, the lack of compassion displayed was astounding!

Very small, and quaint dining spot. Went there for breakfast and could not have been more disappointed. Service - Our waiter was wonderful. He was friendly and attentive. Food - I ordered the Chorizo scramble - which also has sauteed onions and asadero, (per the description in the menu). Sounds delicious, right? It was so bland. I honestly thought I was eating a plain, scrambled egg. =( I didn't see or taste any chorizo, onions or asadero cheese. Most disappointing, since I could have easily made a better Chorizo scramble back at my parent's home. (I was visiting). I had a few side choices to go with my Chorizo scramble, and I chose the buttermilk pancakes to satisfy my sweet tooth. Bland. I'm starting to feel like a really great cook/chef since I could have easily made better tasting buttermilk pancakes from a box. I ordered a non-fat mocha - nothing special. Bottom line: Go elsewhere if you're a foodie and you love breakfast. This is not a great breakfast spot.

The food here is to die for. Very hipster. Staff is friendly but service takes a while. I guess you can't rush perfection. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp for an appetizer. Delicious but it is on the spicy side, had a kick to it. If you like spicy food the Chile Bomber Burger is for you, it had bacon, cheese, grilled onions, jalapeno and a habanero cream cheese spread. The burger is pretty big itself. I only had half and it was more than enough. I still managed eat the sweet potato waffle fries that I got with it which were heaven. If you like blue cheese, theirs has to be the best ever. We had it with our spinach salad and it was simply amazing. Very rich and thick. Make sure you're not in a rush because it does take a little while to get your meal which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars and this location is smaller than the other one in El Paso. Over all great experience. If I'm ever in El Paso again this place will be a definite stop!

These guys really need to expand. I've been there to eat a couple of times now and their food is phenomenal. They also have a solid amount of beers to choose from. Very cool little lunch spot, but holy crap, by the entire building so we don't have those agnozing waits!

Such a cool small restaurant. It has a unique and fun style - be sure to look up to see the silverware hanging from the rafters as decoration. The portion sizes are HUGE, but the food is absolutely amazing. I had the cinnamon roll french toast and it was simply glorious. Highly recommend it to anyone! Parking can be a bit of a challenge. The restaurant itself has only about 12 tables, so it could be a long wait, but when I went with a friend on Sunday morning we walked right in!

I was in El Paso with a few friends for a wedding and our friend gave us a few choices for lunch and I'm so glad we chose Crave. First things first, we wait staff is so friendly and accommodating. They made the experience that much better. One of my friends and I got the chicken and waffles (with the buffalo sauce on the side) and an 808 burger and split the two. The 808 burger was delicious (and I don't normally like burgers). The green chile gave it the perfect kick and the pineapples added a sweetness that meshed so well with the rest of the burger. The chicken and waffles were awesome too. (It was my first time having chicken and waffles and I'm so glad I had it here). And the buffalo sauce... Amazing. For the sides-- The green chile mac&cheese!! Wow wow... So creamy and perfectly spicy and the Mac was cooked enough to leave some bite. Grilled asparagus can compliment any meal if grilled right and Crave does an awesome job. It was perfectly grilled with some lemon juice too. Absolutely delicious!! We also got the cucumber salad and that was such a refreshing taste in contrast to the other food. All in all, everything was delicious, service was great and weather was perfect for outdoor seating! Definitely recommend and would want to come back to El Paso if even just to eat here.

Single-handedly redeemed our stay in El Paso. We ate at a highly rated gastropub (The Hoppy Monk) the night prior to farty results, but this place was aces in every way. The staff were great and our breakfast was outstanding. We ordered the green chile biscuits & gravy and the bacon-waffle sandwich (hyphenated because the bacon is in the waffle). The food was delicious and the portions were as heaping as the average El Pasoan.

I lived in El Paso for 6 months or so and frequented Crave while I was there. I must say it's one of my favorite restaurants in the area. They do not classify themselves under one type of cuisine. Crave serves a broad spectrum of foods that will surely please every palate. A few things I must mention - they have a great wine and beer selection! Chimay on tap! Brunch is fabulous with TRULY bottomless mimosas (be prepared to turn them away). The green chili mac & cheese is to die for; as is the Belgian waffle. The good - Yummy food and drinks Great location on the West side, close to UTEP and not far off I-10 Good place to start an evening on Cinci St. Best brunch on the West side Service (most of the time) The bad - Be prepared to wait... the restaurant is not that big! Some items are a bit pricey by EP standards Overall Crave is a great place to dine whether you are visiting EP or you're just a local looking for new places!

  • Stan L.

the layout of the restaurant is quite modern.. there's a decent selection of beer on tap.. the food on the other hand was terribly uninspired.. maybe i have to come back for lunch/dinner.. but their breakfast is terrible.. i ordered the monte cristo with a side of bacon.. the bread was stale and dry.. it must have been baking in the el paso desert for weeks.. the bacon however was quite tasty though.. but not enough to make up for that bread disaster.. my fiancee ordered the egg sandwich with a side of fresh fruit.. the egg was cooked perfectly.. but the ciabatta bread was a soggy mess.. the vegetables were flavorless.. if it weren't for a piece of my bacon... the egg sandwich would be completely flavorless.. i'm willing to give this place another shot.. but will probably not have breakfast here again.. one last note.. the service was super slow.. sure the restaurant was full.. but there were at least 4-5 waitresses standing by the bar not doing a thing

So unhappy the last 4 visits. Awful, awful service, half the menu items are unavailable at any given time, and the food isn't up to scratch. And did I mention the careless, rude service?

  • D A.

If you're thinking about a hip place to have lunch this is the spot. They offer a peculiar menu everything from chicken and waffles to a glazed salmon dish but everything is pretty good. Though this place looks quaint its pretty pricey and isn't the quickest bite. When ordering your side the green chili mac n cheese is your choice. Crave doesnt stop at lunch and dinner, their breakfast holds its own and is absolutely d-lish so get up early for a great treat. PS Its been rumored Brittany Spears is gonna make an appearance here when shes in town, so keep your eyes peeled.

I was excited to discover Crave this week. After just moving to EP from SD, the food reminded me a lot of Hash House A Go Go, (which is a Great thing) I had the chicken fried steak and it was to die for. I couldn't finish and I'm a big eater. Aside from quantity, the food was amazing. My girlfriend had the Monte Cristo and she loved it as well. Attentive, nice service. Well done Crave creators.

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. The service was amazing, with servers checking in on me, not too much so as to disturb, but when appropriate, like to refill my coffee, offer me a to go box, etc. I debated initially about coming here from a review about a hungover and loud crowd during the late morning, but I didn't find anything of the sort and was there about 11 am on a weekend. The food was equally amazing as far as taste and value (I had enough food for about three people all for about $14 after tip). I had the chicken fried steak with a green chile gravy, which was the most amazing chicken fried steak I ever had. Plus, it came with potatoes and a side, which I chose the blueberry pancakes. I was not disappointed other than knowing I would have to travel hundreds of miles again to return here.

On the quest for good food in El Paso my husband suggested we try Crave. I'm so glad he did! We moved to Las Cruces a few months ago and have already visited Crave three times! The service is always good, I've never had to wait for a table and the food is delicious! Not to mention that the serving sizes are enormous! I've tried the whole wheat pancakes, the short stack (which is a normal sized stack!) and the breakfast sammy. The sammy is incredible and I can't resist the whipped cinnamon butter they give you with the pancakes. I also love the modern decor at Crave. They have a huge chalkboard on the walll with their menu written on it and I love the 'chandelier' of hanging forks. The only con is that it is a pretty small place so the tables are very close together.

Went for breakfast this morning with my wife and it was great! We had the "egg sammy" and some whole wheat pancakes with cinnamon butter. The three pancakes that were brought out were ENORMOUS! My wife was only able to power through one of them, so lucky me I get some whole wheat pancakes for breakfast tomorrow as leftovers. Along with the great food was amazing service. Our waiter was awesome and attentive. I wish that I had gotten his name. Next time I am in Paso I will be seen there getting some eats!

Insanely delicious!! Thei backyard burger just melts in your mouth. You have to try thir green chili mac n' cheese. MMMMMMMM good!!! They have so many tasty teas too. Try the coconut tea. It's made with actual coconut water. Very refreshing.

Pros: Good food, great beer/wine selection (they have Chimay on tap)... Cons: place is tiny/crowded and the wait for a table can take up to 40 minutes on a busy day.

Very good burgers. Excellent service. Come a little before noon for lunch or there will be a long wait. Crave burger and sweet and smokey burger are most delicious. Try coconut tea... It's something different! We've been here several times and looking forward to our next visit. I guess that's why they call it CRAVE :-)

Decent food, good wine/beer selection. Tiny space but we got there early, about 5. It was already full but I snagged a table. They need to open another location or expand!

Had the baby spinach salad, caesar salad, and of course, the green chili mac n cheese. All of the dishes were good, no complaints on the taste. My main grievance would be about the portions - I want more bang for my buck! $6 for a cup of mac n cheese that doesn't even use real cheese?!? C'mon now. We all know that block of Velveeta isn't that expensive. :P
